I'm not completely sure this topic belongs here, but still I'd like to say that I like the ones you listed in the "Paid" section, completely ignoring the other two lists. There are some titles I don't know and I'll have to check them later, tho. I'd add 1942, Missile Dancer and StarSceptre to that list. Unfortunately all of Cave Co.'s games are outdated and won't work on iOS11, so we're missing Bug Princess and DoDonPachi series. Also, I really liked Space Invaders - Infinity Gene which I'm hoping will receive some update love. And now that you mention shmups, there are some great horizontal games, too, like Steredenn, Sine Mora and upcoming Super Hydorah... why not list them, too? Anyways, talking about favorites, in current iOS versions, my vertical favorite games are Aka to Blue and Sh∞ting Stars. In terms of horizontal, Steredenn takes the crown and we'll see how it holds its place against Super Hydorah!

Too bad about Cave shmups and Infinity Gene. I feel the pain too. There are some great Hori, twin stick and fixed shooters too, although I think vertical works best on mobile. Maybe I’ll list them later.
