    Hey Guys,

I'm looking into getting a platformer. Not really specific to any kind, but I just want one that is, in your opinion, fun, has decent replay, and can hold your attention lol.

I tried the lite version of Ignite, and it seemed fun. I am thinking about purchasing the full version, but before I do, I wanted to see if there was anything else. Preferable a little more "Mario" oriented I guess you can say lol (Power-ups and what not). Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Price isnt really an issue, and I dont really care about graphics TOO much, as long as the game is fun as hell.

I've been wondering the same thing, I recently got Brave Dwarves and its a pretty darn good game. Although I haven't been able to play much, sucked into The Quest expansion at the moment.

    +1 for Archibald's Adventures.
I just bought "Jack or 100 Ways to Barbecue" which looks nice (and retro! ;)), but I haven't got too much spare time to play it more than few minutes so can't really say more about it.

    Cheers,
    f.

The dev just yesterday issued an update for Brave Dwarves, and the controls have been updated.

I love Bounce On, but I happen to be terrible at platformers. I don't know why, but when I was a little kid I was awesome at Mario, etc. running through levels but I somehow lost my "jumping coordination" since I've gotten older....

Jumping is probably the hardest part of platformers for whatever reason. Don't even get me started on grappling hooks.

Someone please explain the main objectives(goals and purpose) to the Brave Dwarves game?

    rofl DinoSmash ftw?

I have played ton's of platformers in my day, from the NES days to now. And yes, jumping and how the controls of jumping seem to be an ongoing issue for so many games, and I never understood why! Not saying all games are terrible at it, but it does seem to be one of those issues that make or break the Platformer.

    Purpose
    * Collect three keys at each of the 100 levels to progress to the next level
    * Collect gems and treasures on the way for points and to build up your powers
    * Defeat the 5 bosses (one at every 20 levels)

    That's the gist of it.
