Deus Ex System Shock 2 Morrowind Earthbound Soulblazer Illusions of Gaia Shadowrun Super Mario RPG Fallout Fallout2 Secret of Mana Chronotrigger The Quest
That's a great game. You can play it on iPad or iPhone using iDos btw, actually plays pretty well too.
In no particular order - Final Fantasy IX & X & XIII (Flame away, if you must) Final Fantasy Tactics Skies of Arcadia Grandia 1 & 2 Tales of Vesperia Shining Force 1, 2, and CD Breath of Fire series Earthbound Dragon Warrior/Quest series And others I'm sure I forgot.
I may have glanced past it, but has no-one mentioned Terranigma? I loved that game and it was one of the last gems to appear on the SNES.
Can't pick one so: Fallout: New Vegas Borderlands Earthbound I can't pick a favorite because FO and BL are so different from Earthbound.
Suprised I hadn't already posted on this thread although I checked twice. #1 Chrono Trigger Most perfect game I've ever played from the multiple endings to the music #2 Final Fantasy 7 I played this for about a year and refused to fight the end boss till everyone was level 99 I just didn't want it to be over #3 Morrowind Best PC RPG, I still remember an NPC I didn't want to kill chasing me all over the Island lol Loved the expansions also I still have this installed now #4 Dungeon Master yeah it's old and probably rubbish by todays standards but I played it right through and enjoyed it a lot. I also liked the Amiga Bloodwych which was a similar game but very uniquely two player split screen. I think the two players added a lot to it. #5 Legacy of Kain Blood Omen Kind of like an adult Zelda but you are a Vampire I don't think a lot of people played this but I liked it and of course it led to the other legacy of Kain games. Completed and enjoyed all of the above and there are a lot of others I've enjoyed as well but that's my top 5.
Shut up phattestfatty. I wish Pokemon was a RPG game. My fav RPG of all time is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Actually, Zelda is an Action/Adventure RPG. It has all elements that a RPG has. (Except for the puzzles and other stuff)
Yup. On about the same level as Pokemon. If anything, Pokemon is slightly closer to the roots of RPG due to having turn-based combat.
Considering the term "FPS" is slowly becoming synonymous with high-pitched screaming, ragequitting, race hate and a total lack of any form of teamwork whatsoever, it most definitely is
My favorite RPG of all time is EarthBound. It edges out Chrono Trigger just slightly on my list. I also liked Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia. Coincidentally, I've been playing Blue Dragon on my 360 lately. I didn't get it on launch but I got it for pretty cheap on Amazon and it is a very, very good game. There are a lot of very well implemented game mechanics in it. I was very surprised at how much fun it is.
