Exactly what I was trying to say. Nothing but very recent FPS's (and Fallout 3 ). I wouldn't call them all crap, tho.
No. That sucks too. FPS's are horrible. What happened to RPGs and platformer/adventure games? What ever happened to SNES? When did game companies get the horrible idea to make these crappy excuses for games? When did the deserved N64 success turn into them thinking that people want FPS's and shooters? I don't get it. That is why I miss my jailbreak. The emulators made it so much worth it. In fact, I haz idea. Nintendo venture into iPhone gaming. Make an emulator for iPhone for SNES, NES, and GB. Sell original ROMs for these consoles using in-app purchases in 3.0. They would kill ZodTTD's emulators, and would be great. I wouldn't ever play another native iPhone game. I vote to sell for $5 a ROM. SNES > NES > N64 > MAME > Amiga > C64 > Genesis > PS1 > PS2 > Xbox (360) > Wii > PS3
Out of those it goes to Halo 3 for me... even though I never get a chance to play anymore. Metal Gear is still my all time fave though
Castle crashers is cool! It was actually part of the inspiration for Block Knights, when we were coming up with a theme we passed around a lot of ideas until were like, "lets do Knights...yea, but it needs to be fun and cartoony like Castle crashers."
Really? That is so cool. I actually thought Block Knights had inspiration from World of Goo. Speaking of which, that is a cool game too.
Never played World of Goo... But yeah it was Castle Crashers for the theme then Patapon(obviously) for the art style . The style had to be something subdued enough as to not distract from the game play Patapon's style was perfect. Just looked at World of Goo, it looks cool!
I think that's really just opinion tho. FPS is my least favorite genre compared to most anything else, but that doesn't make them bad games. Unless of course they actually are bad games, which does tend to happen a lot
