I can echo what everyone else is saying so I won't bother. But the game is ridiculously great.(oops I did) I can't believe I just sat here and got mad a a box.
He probably mastered the "lunge", it's a great technique, though a bit risky. I think attack power is doubled while you're lunging.
Game Impressions I love the game's sense of absurdity. It feels like it's saying: "While you may claim you love RPG's for all of their complex character development, storylines, and amazing magical items, we say you're not fooling ANYONE! In this game we break an Action RPG down to its minimalistic essentials and YOU LOVE IT!"
How do you lunge with the gamepad controls btw? I can do it randomly by just tapping the screen fast but i dont know how it works.
OK so what this game needs is a ridiculous set of achievements, with each achievement unlocking an additional entirely cosmetic upgrade for your character. I can think of so many potentially hilarious hats, outfits, and weapons the little dude could use. How awesome would it be to scroll through the scores and see the person with the top score did it wearing underwear, a viking helmet, and using a pink pool noodle as a weapon? Yeah, that's right, very awesome.
If they have achievements do what PopCap and Forsaken Media did. Have the Achievements built into the game without any additional support from 3rd party APIs. (Like Crystal or OpenFeint).
I've been playing this for around ten minutes now, and I'm really enjoying it. It has a ridiculous premise, but that adds to the charm quite a bit A couple suggestions: Unlockable clothes, characters, faces, hair types... unlockable customization options, essentially. Changing your colors is nice, but it can only go so far. It would be pretty neat if we could, in the future, be able to unlock hair types, different characters, and accessories (like demon horns or something ) And I am obligated to suggest this to any game that does not have it: iPod music playback support. I like the music that comes with the game just fine, but it would be nice to have the option to play your own music, since I personally take advantage of that whenever possible Just thought I'd throw those suggestions in here. It's a really fun game
What is everyones favorite control method? I started with Tilt and enjoyed it. I switched to the gamepad (2 arrow buttons) and found it easier to control, but didnt like how my thumb obstructed the view of the screen. Which do you like?
I think that this game is absolutely overhyped. It's fun for 5 minutes and that was it. The controls are ok - but the game lacks a lot of polish and the letters "RPG" don't fit into the games name - simply put: there is no roleplaying. It's kinda boring to hack and smash a bunch of simple cubes - that could have been done much better. Even if the whole game is meant as a parody - I am missing the laughs. The game is also very repetitive, even all the game modes can't hide the shallow experience. I can't recommend it, even not for a lousy buck. The game may be suitable for people who think that Fruit Ninja is a deep and fulfilling gaming experience. My rating: 3/10 points.
you are just about the most blindest person EVER. not only in the TA article, but also in the description of the game, and the game's instructions, and each GAME MODE (i.e. 'average play time 3 minutes') it says it's NOT DEEP. It's about strategy and fun, and nothing more! This isn't Bioshock or Mass Effect. (And I hope by deep you didn't mean Halo).
