After reading the blog I'm wondering who JAK is? It's in the screenie. I wouldn't say he's dominating the highscores, but he seems to be everywhere haha. So is he one of the developer's or what? Because when it got released (in NZ first) he was on the leaderboards before the US release. So just wondering who he is
I would absolutely loooove to see an update to this which would include sword visual upgrades, where the sword can become gifrigginormous too, as well as magic upgrades where you get spells like FIAR-> MOAR FIAR! -> MOAST FIAR!! And if ever possible the thing that would add the most to this game would be a continued mode, where once you beat one mission you could continue on with the same character/upgrades!

Yep, totally agree with this. The game has depth. Try figuring out how to finish a level the fastest using the few spells that are available. With a bit of thought you'll find some interesting tactics are possible. Anyhoo, one thing I'd love to see are more spells, and the ability to use more than one (in every game mode). That'd certainly add a lot more depth.
i absolutely love this game. i i bought it yesterday and i had no idea it would be this addicting.however i would love to see things like more clothes, customization,weapons, spells and just generally more depth. it would be awesome!
I wanted to add a potential bug: I'm not sure of the cause, like if it's just a memory issue or resource issue or what have you, but I am on the phone with people a lot who don't actually need me to pay any attention and so I play a lot of games while on the phone. No matter if I clear out my multitasking bar or start from a freshly booted phone, it will not load past the mode choosing menu. After you pick your mode it will just sit there and be frozen. Also for some added info, if I press the home button and reload it, it will still pop up the pause menu and the pause menu will function but the mode title will be overlaid on top of it still. And while I can attempt to quit, tapping the green quit button has no effect. Super annoying since this game would be great to play while listening to someone blabber all night.
I know a bug too. I'm not 100% sure how it works but I'll try to explain. On almost all the singular colored leaderboards theres the same #1 person, with the Beef spell and the most defence he could get. I thought it was odd so I tried doing what he did. Unintentionally I used Beef while on/attacking a square and I just walked straight past. Like Wall hacking. So I guess he just does that on all the squares and just walks through the level. Just annoying because it's now near impossible to come to his highscore legitly. So could you guys please fix this glitch. Thanks
i think the top score for showdown is glitched. call it a hunch, but i dont think it's humanely possible to finish that within 25 seconds.
@jak haha @ sam the lion you could be right but just seems kinda weird. A spell that gives to defence, but then makes you just dodge the square? I dunno. Guess we'll have to wait for what he says. Edit: @ The Bat Outta Hell ahh I get it now good to see the developer competing for high scores too.
This isn't a glitch so much as an oversight; walking through enemies is a possible thing given sufficient defense. The oversight is that the mono maps are short and steep enough that waiting for BEEF to recharge isn't a huge time drain. I'm not sure what I might do to fix that yet.
That was me, it is possible. I posted on the 8th or 9th page. Just a few tips - dont get hit, at all - lunge attacks when just out of range(easy x2 damage hit, then keep out of range while using normal attacks) - careful timing of the Meer spell (my last use of it got a SWUP spell, hence the 900/600 instead of 600/900, that SWUP really helped) here is a screenshot of my local score to prove it
That's me, I'm one of the developers. A lot of people have beaten my scores, though. :/ There's someone else who goes by "jak", but mine always has the capital J. As for the leaderboards issue and hanging issue, we're definitely looking into them right now, stay tuned! For the leaderboards, the scores are definitely being recorded on the server - there are 1,400 records for "Learn to Play", but if you scroll down, you only see like 74 of them (you should be able to see 99 before it craps out). So the records are there even if you don't see them, don't you worry.
That was pretty clever, I have to admit. Henry, I think, knew you could do this, but I didn't until I saw your high score, and thought about MEER, and I just had one of those "ohhhhhhHHHH" kind of moments.
the meer is great for showdown, especially when you have multiple boxes on screen. I'm pretty sure a few times I used Meer, hit multiple boxes with fire/fireballs and then lunged when 3-4 were lined up in one area. One hit kills and a really quick way to remove multiple boxes.
