Exercise really does not help you lose weight. Muscle mass weighs twice as much as fat, and the calories burned are not really that much. The surest way of losing weight is to eat less.
going to fast food places in the US is kinda depressing..almost half of the people there are overweight. Everything there has like 700+ calories in it. I do like fast food though....but it always gives me a stomach ache
i find fast food not to tast so good. so i do not really eat it.. Kentucky fried chicken i do dig tho.. yumm.. anyhow, was watching this home modeling show.. and this guy bought this house and he went to put his plates into the cabinets.. the plates where to big and this guy thought it be strange that they would make them to small for plates that are used every day.. then he figured out the house was a 100 years old.. our plates have gotten bigger. so that whole eat every thing on you rplate... ( also big breakfast thing would be true if we were all working in the feilds like a 100 years ago.. ) we all have been over eating. supersize is a great example. i have to stay skinny cause i have a bad leg. sometimes i think i should put weight on so i fit in with my peers now i think about it are all probably 20lbs over weight im just use to seeing big as healthy.. i told my doctor what i was thinking but i knew i could not cause of my bad leg.. extra weight would put to much stress on it.. and id be in a wheel chair sooner than later.. anyhow my doctor told me one sentence that made me shut up about thinking i was to skinny. "iv never seen a fat 80 year old in my office chris.." and i never have either they always skinny like me.. so anyhow.. eat in moderation, hell if we did every thing in moderation we would have no problems.. drugs, food, sex, etc. etc. chris. well while we on the topic of weight, and normally health issues come with this.. here you go: http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/07/implantable-blood-sugar-sensor-could-eliminate-daily-finger-pric/
Or he just bought some big plates. There are tons of variables to why the plates were too big for the cabinets, it's foolish to conclude based only on the age of the house (also assuming the cabinets were there for the entire life-span of the house, they would be looking pretty tired too), that all of our plates (and in turn, the size of our meals) has grown.
There is a correlation between plate size, food eaten, and weight: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Plate_Movement
the guy who own the 100 year old house was a engineer.. so yeah he did do his research before just throwing random thoughts out there.. if you google it there is a tons of info and scientific studies.. and if you think about it totally makes sense. quote my grandma use to say rings true.. your eyes where bigger than your tummy... heh when i over loaded on food and could not eat it. chris.
The only fast food I eat is Subway, and only in dire situations. It's pretty healthy (I assume, unless the source they get their buns and vegetables and meats are questionable) and acceptable as a replacement for a proper meal. I don't think mainstream fast food taste good, nor is it healthy, nor is it cheap, so no point eating there when I can simply cook. Can't say the same for people who hate cooking or grocery shopping.
I like KFC, Subway and Burger King (which is better than McDonalds, IMO). I don't eat fast food very often (maybe once a month), but I'm lucky because I can eat loads and not put on any weight. I think I must have quite a high metabolism, I do quite a lot of exercise too so that might help.
My favorite is arbys roast beef sandwhich...its one of he more healtheir fast food restrounts. I like burger kings burgers and chicken fries,,Mcdonalds has good fries..everything else it not so good. I dont really count subway as fast food...more like a sandwhich shop..its very heathy..nothing is deepfreind or greasy I only eat fast several times a month..i dont put on any weight...im still young
I wasn't denying anything like that, just his line of logic that, the plates didn't fit in the supposed 100 year old cabinets, so therefore plates have gotten bigger.
Most of the people I know only had it when they were young, I managed to keep my metabolism until now. Pray you get lucky and keep it
ill be 36 in oct.. i eat right for the most part.. i cant exercise.. so yeah some of us are lucky with a fast metabolism iv been told i would lose mine when i was 30... blah i do not see my self losing it.. i was very active a as kid.. i think this had something to do with it.. cant prove it but i honestly think if you are active as as a kid thi shelps in your later years. chris.
I'm 18 now, but I expect that's still considered "young". My father is still thin and he eats like a pig, so hopefully I'll be the same
its pretty easy to tell whats original and whats not in a old house.. they built things differently over the years.. his logic lead him to do more research.. before saying what he did on the construction show. chris.
It's still a very general assumption to make. Go to the store and tell me all the plates you find are the same size. I did a quick google around, and there is some information on plates getting bigger, but nothing scientific and no data being shown. I just find it funny when people try to blame weight problems on something other than themselves. Like omg Mcdonalds is evil and made me fat. Or my plates are too big and make me fat. No. You're fat because you just ate 3 times what I would eat and are now going to go sit on your ass in front of the tv for 5 hours.
I second that. In N' Out is the only burger joint that tastes like some quality and effort has been put into it.
