It's a lot of work and nobody I know personally wants to involve themselves in this game, so I was wondering if anyone here was interested in playing?
When will the season start? I dont really follow Baseball, but I'm pretty addicted to fantasy sports so if enough people join I will too.
Fantasy Football = 16 games. Fantasy Baseball = 162 games. I'm thrilled you're willing to join, don't get me wrong, I'm just making sure you understand how much different it is than Fantasy Football.
Eh. I just think we gotta look around for websites that have a fantasy baseball forum so we can find people who want to join.
I am in, was just thinking of starting this thread. Keeper league hopefully, I have another league where we got a few spots open, if anyone wants in that either
Espn.com or Mlb.com? I much prefer espn, as you get to individually pick pitchers, as opposed to a pitching rotation (mlb.com)
Hopefully ESPN for this league, but my league is ESPN Fantasy Baseball is far more rewarding then Football, because it isn't as luck based. You can do hours of research in football and still finish last, but in baseball, it takes more skill(and some luck) to win
Not really, because of the snake format, I prefer to pick 8th this year, because I've been able to snag Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulo at 8th and when it came back around at 12. I don't use snake drafts often anyways, auction leagues are the future
I am living proof this is not so. I missed my draft (due to being called into work) and I got stuck with a crappy team. I was so bummed about my draft I didn't bother changing my roster for the first four weeks, but after that I started pouring about nine hours of work into it a week. I managed to crawl my way back into the playoffs by grabbing great sleeper picks (and getting EXTREMELY lucky at some points -- i.e. winning a game 53-52 against the worst player in the league) and made it all the way to the championship game before I was completely manhandled. So draft isn't everything, and a lot of work in FF (and some smarts) can get you a long way.
