In any of the first missions, go up to the left side of the desk where there is a magazine laying down. It shows (kind of poorly) all the characters. Hero bots are the bots, Glamazons are the female warriors, and Tech Squad are the GI Joe-looking guys. Then there are classes. The emblem in the corner of your character profile shows their alignment. I haven't found anything in the menus but one of the load screens shows the 5 elemental classes that mostly make sense looking at them (flame for fire, green gass cloud for poison etc.) I can't post pics ever since updating to 9.1, otherwise I'd include some to show. EDIT: Easier way, tap on the gear icon from main screen (top right corner) and go to the support tab. Top option is to view the cinematic. Not only is that cinematic awesome (and makes me want to see this become a show and buy the toys), it will show the characters and their affiliation, which should make things a lot more clear. Also meant to mention that on the timed missions, it's best to let command mode run and see how that does first. Then if it's still taking too long, figure out where you can cut down on time (like hopping an obstacle or not engaging an enemy that wastes precious time). Hope that helps!
Go to the character menu, where you have your heroes set up on a shelf (and extras on the right side scroll bar). Tap on them to bring up the Hero Card. The robots are the HeroBots and the card is a brownish orange. The Glamazons are the female, She-Ra type, warriors with a pinkish card. The CyberSquad are the humans with cyborg parts (GI Joe ish) and a green/blue card. You can see their element type (with icon) on the card just above the TOTAL power. If you tap on that element, you get the wheel of Elemental Resistances. The wheel shows which element does more damage against which. You can even tap on the BIOGRAPHY to get a little background story. NOTE: The Element matches up with the color of the Power Cels you use to level the heroes up. Yellow cells grant a bonus to Force, Red to Fire, etc.
Ok, I got the types. But I'm still having trouble with the timed missions. Maybe I'm just not skilled enough - the command mode seems better than my own control, but it's still not fast enough.
Which mission in particular? There've been a few tricky ones....maybe I can help if it was one that I was actually able to clear (a few I'm still stuck on).
For timed missions, I would recommend using a Glamazon because they have the highest stamina and can sprint the longest. To sprint you either flick the right "stick" forward and let them run, or push up on it and hold as they sprint. You won't be able to target things while sprinting, but you don't really want to slow down to fight at all if possible. You will need to memorize the path like Chief78 suggested, and just take some damage and keep running. I like to do these missions before bed so my heroes heal up when I sleep
So I definitely finished last season in the top three slot. I'm in lead league now but... Didn't get my reward for the last season. Is there a bug? Edit- figured it out. Have to go to little computer icon and claim the prize
Watching a video doesn't always repair one health bar. In fact, it hasn't worked the last three times I tried it (which is when I started paying closer attention to it to verify).
This game has the highest production quality I've ever seen on a mobile game - its a lot of fun as well. Highly recommend people check this one out.
Game is swell and all, but I LOATHE time trials! Especially without a clock to see if I'm still in the running. My thumbs simply cannot withstand much in the way of tedious grinding on my phone. And so much effort just to open up new levels (and a paltry few coins) is aggravating. Most of my time on this game is spent replay grinding for time trials, which really detracts from the fun when you're forced to undertake them. Oh, and something needs to be done to balance element-only replays. Well over ten hero rolls since I began playing, and not a single poison-type hero (nor any poison items from chests). If this keeps up, I'll be stuck soon (assuming I bother to grind past the numerous time trials).
The spin for character mechanic is cool enough. Frustrating that I can't get the character I want, but I usually get 2-3 spins a week between playing missions and the free spins. What I really want is a way to buy accessories. Even if it's just random ones in different tiers. I've got a few level 2 heros fully leveled up, but can't rank them up to the three star level without a back accessory, and I can't manage to get one!
Yep I've been thinking the same thing - I assume they will add this as IAP at some point as its near impossible to achieve via PVP.
I hope they don't do it that way. It would give the "wealthy" a huge advantage in PvP if they were able to buy gear via IAP. Being able to buy more hero rolls is as much advantage as they need.
Okay, the PvP game lock ups have to stop. Total app freeze means I automatically lose the match (and 10 points). System needs some kind of a "draw" option for such situations. It's aggravating enough to make the Dalai Lama rage quit.
Hehehe. I know right? I just picture him throwing down his phone hard, gathering up his robes in a huff, and muttering curses to himself as he walks away.
Argh, this lack of a back accessory is killing me. I've got 12 heros leveled up to 25 but can't spin a 3 star hero for the life of me or get a back accessory. I'm in Plastic league too and its going to be impossible to compete. Either I'm getting the butt end of the RNG or they need to tweak the numbers.
I've rolled a few premium heroes, but only one (maybe two) premium (⭐️⭐️⭐️) accessories. If that helps you gauge the randomness of it at all. I also have a bunch of deluxe heroes that I might want to upgrade, had I the premium gear needed. Is there a list of heroes and/or items so I can see which heroes have stuff I gave them and which have default gear?
I'm also increasingly frustrated by the inability to upgrade heroes due to not getting back pieces. I have gotten 14 accessory pieces and no back item. Its like they aren't even in the game.
