Well, they are both blades but they handle completely differently. Just like how there are multiple guns in the game that handle differently. I actually prefer the Katana, too, as the long, flowing swinging of the Light Saber locks me in one direction for too long and leaves me exposed to hits.
Hi there, it's been 2 week already and I still have 7 ranked 1 spot in the 10 survival stages. It's getting boring, can someone stop me? Hahaha! Btw, Congratzzzz on 3 person who pushed me down to rank 4 on stage 10. Dev I guess u need to reduce exp gain in the upcoming updates, brains is too easy to get or make the new items super expensive like 100 brains for the jumping feature. It will encourage ppl to grind and spend more time on ur game. At least there is something to grind for, if not the game will be flooded with jumpers.
I don't get that 'too similar' feeling with any of the actual non-melee weapons. They are all pretty distinct from one another. It just feels a little redundant with the blade options, specifically the katana and saber (and the sword too, which I have barely used). I just don't see the need to ever choose the saber over the katana since they are relatively similar with the Katana performing better. The saber needs a little oomph. If it swung faster and had a finishing move, then it would compete with the katana.
This game is hard. I can't get past the second stage "Downtown" unless I level up and power up all of my stats and weapons first. That means repeating Suburbs over and over again. Maybe I just suck. I love the game, but damn it's frustrating when I'm so close to getting to the third part of the stage only to die because of low health and the time clocking at 5 seconds.
Thanks! I'm changing the jump mechanic a bit, so it's more forgiving (it won't drain the energy, but rather a new stamina bar). This will change the game a bit... on one hand, you won't be able to jump as many times in a row, at least at first, on the other hand, you won't ever deplete your entire energy just by jumping. That's not the Konami code. And trust me, you'll want to know the Konami code for the next update I'd add something that attacked differently from the normal vampires. The Schwarzencorpse (that's what we call him ) made it into the game, because I needed a slow enemy that was powerful and devastating. We considered loads of moves for many of the melee weapons, but we eventually had to scale down, or otherwise I would have finished Fangz in 2027 I'm submitting an update to Apple next week, with difficulty levels and other perks. I'm also adding a non timed campaign mode, connected to the timed mode, so that you can choose whether to play a given level timed or untimed, and if you beat that level, it'll unlock the next level in both timed and untimed modes.
Yeah, I grew up playing Contra. up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, b, a, select, start.
It's wasn't obvious, all you have to say is Konami Code, otherwise it could be infinite different inputs.
Is there a consensus on best level to farm? After 2-2 it was a breeze for me until level 7 (have been playing too many games simultaneously lol), but seems like I need to do some grinding now. I only have speed and stamina maxed and basically been only using the shotgun and the katana, sometimes the revolver. I don't think I'll get past level 7 only with this setup.
I'd go with the flame thrower. Oh, and does anyone feel the minigun needs to be tweaked in a manner where it will hit the vamps more efficiently? I find that the vamps are able to reach me too easily. They seem to be able to jump over the line of fire, even when they are right in front of me, which just shouldn't be possible with that type of firepower. It's also one of the most expensive weapons to upgrade, but probably doesn't perform any better. Of course. Try it
Alex, what are the chances of the Schwarzencorpse making it OUT of the game and being replaced by a Schwarzenvamp? EDIT: I know what I want to see. I want to see the space vampire from Buck Rogers in this game: Oh man, THAT would be awesome. In some ways, that would actually work. The space vampire was actually pretty slow moving. You could also make him much larger, to fit the mold for a big enemy. The space vampire also had long fingernails. Swiping could be his attack.
I'll let you know mid May, although I'm really not seeing any need at all to replace that enemy. One of the factors is whether the revenue I'm getting from Fangz holds up. Currently it stabilised and I'd be happy to consider more substancial updates if it keeps that way, but after looking at the graph from "Le Vamp" I fear Fangz will plunge into a dark abyss, once it stops being featured by Apple. I'll know soon enough.
He just seems a little generic to me, and he's also not a vampire. Maybe you could give him fangs? But whatever, I'm just thinking out loud here. I play so much that it gets my wheels turning, if you couldn't already tell. It seems like a handful of my ideas made it into the update, so I guess my input is at least somewhat helpful. It's also good to get ideas for if you do another Fangz. EDIT: A couple other things... Have you ever thought of having an option for the weapons to switch on their own (instead of manually) if/when you run out of ammo for that particular weapon? I also think I've finally realized what is most irritating (or maybe who is the biggest offender) with the enemy lunges: it's the Valfs. This is because of the lunge coupled with their speed and size. I'm not finding as much of an issue with the other characters and their lunge attacks because they move a little slower and are easier to hit, or seem to move slower, in general. On the other end of the spectrum, I have zero issue with the Schwartzencorpse (except that his head attack hits me even if I am past him), since he is so big and slow. Hope that makes more sense.
Finally made it past the alien/vampire brats, now the rapper vampires are really giving me a hard time(anytips) ?
Well both for the small guys and rappers I upgraded the shotgun, it's the only weapon I consider essential so far (I'm at level 7 and only have shotgun katana and revolver)
Huh... this is what happens by default. Have you changed the default settings? There's one there called "Auto weapon" that's supposed to do this.
