On the Uruguayan store too (I don't use the Brazilian one because we have some weird laws resulting in less games, I saw Foursaken mentioning that Block Fortress was not accepted there because its 'violent' or something)
By the end of this week I'm submitting an update to Apple with some bug fixes. Then I'll start to work on the first content update. I'm prioritising the difficulty settings, iCade support and additional perks for you to spend all your brains and coins. Additionally I'm announcing on Twitter @gamewhizzes how to unlock a coin doubler. Then I'm going to try to have new content updates every 6 weeks or so.
As a testament to how great this game is I went from not really enjoying it to giving it my vote for GOTW. Love this game and don't mind "grinding" to level up Frank. Thanks for this spectacular gem Alex. Keep it coming.
I just can't get around the fact that the game is giving you the advice that, when all else fails, jump, and then deducts energy when you are in a situation where you are trying to most avoid getting energy taken from you. It is a double negative and counterintuitive. You become absolutely swarmed by enemies lunging at you, to the point that there is simply no way you are going to get out of the situation without taking damage of some kind, and the one salvation you have, a jump, is also counted against you. I think I am going to argue this point until Fangz 2 comes out just to do whatever I can to try and convince you to NOT put it in that game. I mean, you said that you implemented the jump health deduction to prevent players from jumping around too much, but what this is doing is taking the incentive away from jumping at all. With enemies on my ass all the time and biting me from five feet away, why would I risk jumping and losing even more health? Where's the happy medium? I mean, can't the jump be deducted from a stamina bar and THEN your health bar? Can't the health regenerate the same way it is taken away? How would these things be confusing? I know you are adding a perk where health does not get taken away from the jumps, but I am going to feel like I am cheating with this. Someone said many pages back not to listen to me because I am sounding like I dislike the game while simultaneously praising it. Yes. This is exactly right. It is love/hate. There are many things to love, yet I hate how the fun factor is being sacrificed in the face of frustrating gameplay.
Ok just played this for hours I made it to lvl 5 and the boss is owning me but its only with the uppercut move, Tips guys? Also is it normal to keep running out of ammo on all my guns on this lvl?
The running out of ammo was something that I brought up earlier. You should have a melee weapon equipped during that stage in particular, even though there is nothing anywhere that tells you that. I think it will be added as one of the tips to equip a melee weapon just in case you run out. The boss you are fighting is the lawyer boss. There is something you have to do before this boss will take damage. Try and figure it out for yourself. It will be much more satisfying if you do. If you must, look back about 10 pages and you'll see conversation in relation to this boss.
As a show of good faith Alex--despite my obvious nagging issues with the game--I am going to vote for Fangz for GOTW. I see the good things in it and you've been responsive here, which is always appreciated.
I've been playing this game for a week and I haven't figured out how to purchase the machine gun. I have over $10,000 in cash but still don't get the option to purchase the machine gun. Am I missing something?
I have to say that Sumo Splash is right about the separate health and stamina bars - it would make a lot more sense! Fangz is well off for being GOTW, yayyy!
Wait for impressions??? Go back to page 1 and look Sanuku video and read couple of messages this Game it's Awesome
Yes, a stamina bar would act as a buffer. However, it's obvious that the intended design is to give the player no buffer at all, with the aim being increased difficulty. Unfortunately this backfires and delivers increased irritation.
There. You have my vote! (And I will proceed to the Appstore and leave a 5 star review. Only have the HD version though.) And to cheer you up even further: your game is mentioned on iPhoneclub.nl This is a big deal, since they usually don't mention this type of game (due to the many variations already out there.) http://www.iphoneclub.nl/247460/ios-game-update-the-conduit-hd-the-legend-of-holy-archer-en-fangz/ I took the time and effort to give you a rough translation. You're welcome! Zombies and vampires are a real hit in America, and if you are allowed to kill them it is a guaranteed succes. Fangz is yet another one of many type game, where you get this action from a 2D side scrolling perspective. However, despite the fact that we don't pay any attention to the already existing majority out there we made a rare exception for Fangz. The main character is an obese American who sweats like a pig yet walks fluently over the screen. With fat outlines, the environment and all the animation look like as they come straight from a comic book. Fangz has character, but also plays really well. Speaking of upgrades: Fangz has no in-app purchases and won't get them in the future, according to developer Alexandre Ribeiro. You can say what you want about this vampire game, but it doesn't suck!
