I wasn't aware that I was 'blindly praising' anything. I am excited, of course, but really I'm simply echoeing and quoting people who have touched it, and that's what they're saying; that you have to touch it to appreciate it.

You don't have to be confused, I wasn't talking about you particularly.

Do you people have stock in Apple or something? Why does the iPad have to be completely revolutionary and game changing?

Anyways, that iPod thread was awesome.

My future iPad w/3G will do exactly what I want it to do:

    1) Act as a remote frontend for my Mac at home: stream any video format to it, stream audio to it, remote control the entire Mac when I feel like it, access the files on my home Mac.

    2) Email.

    3) Web browsing.

    4) E-book reading.

    5) Remote into my work computer

Now, since my employer refuses to do quotes on anything other than the atrocious Wordperfect I don't expect it to do heavy work.
I look at as doing the same thing my iPhone 3GS does however with a bigger screen and more storage (32GB) for local documents, such as PDF manuals and the like that I currently use a Lenovo netbook for.
