Any fans of the original Fallout series here? I just bought the Fallout Trilogy (1, 2, Tactics) and am excited to start playing the first game. On a side note - I think the early Fallout games would work extremely well on the iPhone.
This is the one series I've been waiting for on the iPhone. I played the first two games when the third came out, long before getting it, and I almost enjoy those a bit more. It's a fantastic open-world (if you want to call it that) RPG. Plus, I love how the Bloody Mess perk affects every enemy differently rather than in Fallout 3, where it just blows their arms and legs off. Btw, how's Tactics? That's the only one I've never gotten around to playing, and I really want to give it a shot sometime.
haven't got started on Tactics yet - plan to play them in order. I really enjoyed Fallout3 - but it felt empty like most Bethesda games for some reason. Looking forward to New Vegas - but I am still not a fan of the GameByro engine.
Yeah, I see what you mean by empty. It feels like the enemies are a bit too spread out most of the time. It's a small complaint to an otherwise amazing game. Also, I thought there was another hack 'n slash game in the Fallout universe, which I think is for the PS2... I just can't remember the name. EDIT: Found the game. It's called Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and it's for the PS2. It looks... alright. It's probably really cheap by now, so if I see a used copy for a low price, I might give it a spin.
Only have ever played #3 and I love it! Got about 100 hours on it with every bobble head found. So excited for NV!
This is a Fallout only thread. Don't be posting how YOU THINK bioshock is better than fallout. Also, where did you get the originals?
I also think that the first two Fallout games are better than the 3rd. Fallout 3 just feels too....something. It doesn't feel as fun. I'm not sure why.
So do you mean Bioshock is better than just Fallout 3 or the entire Fallout series? BTW, they're both completely different games set in pretty much opposite environments. It's like comparing Final Fantasy to MW2.
How's that being an idiot. Metacritic could have something rated in the 40s & it could be your favorite game. I think metacritic has too much weight whether a sequel will be made or not.
After playing half of the first Fallout and Fallout 3, and then playing Bioshock 1 & 2, I greatly prefer the Bioshock series.
They aren't even the same kind of game. Fallout 3 is better than Bioshock IMO, much more depth to it.
You've just gone up two levels on the Idiot-Meter. 1) The reason it has so much weight is because it gets the games overall "grade." Why would a company release a POS sequel to a game when only a handful of people enjoyed the original and would buy the sequel? 2) Personification- A figure of speech in which an inanimate object or abstraction is endowed with human qualities or abilities.
