I had that seemingly indestructible RadRoach attack. The defenders killed all but one roach almost right away then each were taken down but the One Who Would Not Die. I had to send two more and in the end there was a one one-on-one battle and my guy finally finished the roach off. 400-500 to revive each Dweller and 7 were killed. The worst was that NONE OF THEM had Health bars so I couldn't see who needed stimpacks until it was too late! Even the bugs are buggy! Good thing I had 20k caps saved up just in case!
This is how my new go is looking. I think last time i got too many dwellers pregnant at once so when all the children came radroaches saw a way in. What i've learned to do now is keep a gun in every room as well as 4-5 weapons on hand. That way i just put the weapons into the hands of whoever is getting attacked, when raiders or roaches move rooms i simply take the gun and put it on a dweller in the new room. Seems the easiest way to keep stuff stable.
Oddly enough, I just had the same thing happen. Radroaches popped in, no health bars so I had no clue who was dying until they died. Clicking on the people was not popping up the usual dialog either so I couldn't check health bars. My final death toll was only 5 but what was worse is that all the dwellers fled the room after the roaches died. I had to comb the vault to find my wayward dwellers. Sorting by job to find Coffee Break helped, but I still had to be able to drag them back to the correct room. One hid between 2 other dwellers in the game room so I could not select them. I had to wait them out.
Since I got past 150 dwellers, my game also crashes regularly (iPad Air). This almost never happened before. I understand the frustration of a lot of players that had to suffer the crashes way earlier in the game Tonight I'm at 200, 40 dwellers in the wild, it crashes even more rapidly and just checking the runners makes it crash half the times It only took me a week to reach 200, this game needs to be slowed down imho. I was expecting at least one or two months to reach the 200 dudes. I'm over 100k caps, no IAP, no glitch, but I did not upgrade a lot of high cost rooms yet. Not that I really need it, evthg is green. The only time I saw red was when I left the app running while doing sthg else :/ always close the app if you stop playing! It's a great game, I enjoyed it, but it felt like work in the end, needing at least half an hour to an hour play session just to do all you had to do lol. I also didn't have time to really connect with my little dwellers the way I did with my soldiers in XCOM, they're too many too fast. I'm not sure I'll continue on this save without them fixing the memory crashes (all apps closed, iPad rebooted, still got crashes). Maybe it's just me and I rushed thought it, maybe I'll try a new game taking it way slower. Fun stuff : I sent a level 48 gal I got with a lunchbox with one of my good guns and 25 stim packs. 1 day and 6 hours later she's still running, gathered 4k caps and still has 9 stim packs. Quick tips for >50 dwellers vaults: If you want to swim in stuff and caps, you need two 3-blocks infirmaries, a 3-blocks salon fully upgraded. Sort all your dwellers by level. Train all your highest level dudes for luck. Send 3 or 4 with your best equipments, 25 stim packs and 12 radaways. Wait for the stim packs to reload, send more, rinse repeat. Depending on how often you may check, send them back as soon as they get under 3 or 4 stim packs left if you don't want to spend up to 1000 caps to revive them. Btw I love that the runners automatically use the best new outfit or weapon they find. Also a fast and efficient way to get caps is to have one or two dudes with high luck in each producing room (train them and use the +3 L outfit). Each time you click for the products, you increase your odds to also get caps, and you will get a lot that way.
A Joy What a fun game that completely gets the vibe of Fallout and the Vault. I also really enjoy it being released along with the Fallout 4 trailers, perfect timing!
Just curious, what does the endurance stat help with? I know it is for the storage room. What is the benefit of having high endurance?
It helps with people out in the wilderness, and it's needed for the nuca-cola plant. Other than that no idea, as having people in the store room makes no difference....
I used the LB trick and honestly everyone was right. It wasn't fun at all. I got to the point of having 80 dwellers (all consisting of rare to legendary people), all floors decked and fully upgraded, 75% of total weapons in cache and a crash rate of 1 per 3 minutes of playing. I have an iPhone 6 plus and the game slows down to a crawl when not zoomed out. My vault is set up in a way that I gain 3x more LB than I can use. It isn't fun because I haven't needed to impregnate any females (although I was thinking of combining two legendary dwellers to see if their offspring would be better). The vault is like half storage and because my dwellers are all carrying rare/legendary weapons the incidents are over in like 3 seconds. So basically it comes down to a cycle of getting LB, opening them, creating more storage, crashing. TL;DR : Deleted the glitched save and focusing on my non-glitched game.
Anyone missed the 7th-day lunchbox? My daily report screen jumped back to day one now, with no lunchbox #
making babies being in a room that they are best matched too having resources making babies not being near dead people not being dead not having health in the red making babies (making babies is the best as its instant 100% happiness)
Radio station room, every time it's clock winds down you have a chance of a person knocking at your vault door
yep. and still after that, the radio room is just now giving me 1/2 per day being a 3 unit with 3 level 10 people.
With 200denizens, and a bunch of rooms and levels. It lags, hicups and crashes. IPhone6 Captures the feel of a Bethesda game, spot on. =)
I can't seem to go beyond 14 dwellers because raiders start attacking or rats start emerging...everything gets thrown out of control just when things are progressing nicely. It's frustrating. People aren't producing food fast enough or electricity fast enough or water fast enough and each of those rooms I have the right people assigned to them. I've upgraded all of the rooms including the vault door and each time I've sent out someone to explore, they come back with nothing except a few caps. Speaking of caps, I never have enough of them so when people start dying left and right because of raiders and rats, there aren't enough caps to revive them and that brings down the morale of people in the rooms. If I remove the bodies, then my dweller count never increases for me to unlock further rooms. Maybe I don't know how to play this game at all?
Do not buy more room at first. You only buy 2 Power Generator, 2 Water Treatment, 2 Diner. Then you try to upgrade them and try to take all the girls have babies. And next more than 3 hours later, you should have the babies and next 3 hours later, you will have more dwellers. Beside that, please remember to upgrade your Power Generators, Water Treatments, Diners as high as possible. And take your dwellers explore to have more outfit and weapons. P/s: I have a problem. I have full resources, but after take off the ipad for an hour or a night, my resources are out. How can I fix this problem?
