Guys I've hit a total wall. I've been stuck at 18 people in my vault forever now. I have 4-5 empty rooms (0/2). How do I get more people to show up? I'm constantly under resourced and none of my people are ever happy. They all just mope around. No ones doing "it" either for some reason. Think I had one baby this whole time. Any tips would be awesome.
Also believe I just ran into a bug. I had a wanderer coming back with 3 items. I have 8/40 storage used so plenty of rooms for those items. When I accepted them back it sold off those items instead of collecting. I have a challenge to sell 6 items and it registered my collection as selling those 3. Anyone else have that problem yet?
You may have expanded too quickly and spread yourself thin. Try deleting non necessary rooms. You really want to keep your resource rooms at max capacity. At 18 people you should have a powerplant, diner, and water room, all joined at 3 rooms each and upgraded at least once. Bare minimum keep 5/6 people in each room prioritized by stat for that room. Stay at this level until you regain. You can also send out one person into wasteland to collect guns.
Try switching the couples up also watch the charisma levels also move the people to jobs that they have high levels for, any skill that has 3+ that's the job that will make them happy Plan B create a new vault and make better choices the placement of rooms early on will determine your future
Butch keeps finding guns that only do 1-3 damage.. These cant keep up with the level of Raiders... Any tips on higher level weapons?
I think the longer they can stay out in the wasteland, the better the stuf gets that they find. Atleast it's been like this for me.
I've been trying to tell but it's kinda hard, does selective breeding kids really make a difference? Stat wise that is, do they inherit parents stats? Or are baby stats totally random. And how can you really tell?
I haven't really experimented with it, just going with the flow. I just know you can keep a 3 block operational with one person if you want, and it still produces the same amount, I think it just takes longer. I THINK. I spent yesterday training up a bunch of guys at lower levels. Then last night I put 2 of my longest training times into A, S, P, and I and expected my resources to take a big hit when I woke up. But no, they were still going strong. I've got 3-4 guys in each max lvl three block at this point and my resources are healthy. At some point you could argue that's better, lots of slower rooms if you have enough 3 block rooms going at once. You could empty your resources less frequently. Wonder if that would work.
Production definitely takes longer with fewer people. If you move a guy to a room and select the room before he gets there you will see the time until completion change as soon as he enters the room. I still dont know what increasing the stat of the worker for that room does.
Butch has great stats for everything but Luck, which determines the speed of loot gathering and the chance for better quality. If you don't have the Game Room to train him, use a dweller with a better Luck stat to scavenge.
Thanks both of you for the tips. I think I did spread myself too think I was pretty hyped about having extra caps thought I'd get a jump on some construction. I'm just going to make a new vault and plan better.
I haven't had problems with having kids but one of my dwellers wept have it!! It's been days now. I have a population of 28/34 and have put her in both a living space and a room she really likes. She's also 100% happy. How can I get her to just have the damn thing already lol
Vault 108 I've started my vault. 108. My two mains are going to be pregnant all the time, and every single baby boy will be named Gary! Eventually, I will get rid of anyone else who doesn't fit that profile.
I built most in 2's. Endurance as a single since lesser stat, too many other things to focus on. Charisma as a single since only really needed for radio. Limited use. The others I did as two. But my Str room is kind of bottleneck prepping ppl for energy rooms. It might have been nice as a 3.
