I still haven't recruited any followers... maybe that's why I'm struggling a bit now. Time to find me some comrades I think.

If you could just share who they are, and if they're any good. I like the exploring and discovery part :D

Also how does the companion thing work? Can you give them orders or do they just sort of tag along?

    ED-E (An Eyebot) and Veronica (A… Lesbian…)

ED-E is good cause he gives you a perk when he is with you that radars enemies further. They show up so you know when they are futher away than normal. He also plays a cute little jingle if you will when enemies are encountering you (more useful than you’d think). Veronica is a walking work bench (literally, you can create items through dialogue with her) but she sort of gets in the way. Her specialty is this extremely damage dealing arm weapon she has for melee but she can soak up some of your bullets if you are aiming at the same target. Kind of annoying. But you can change how they fight. If you want her to use guns then so be it. That's what's awesome.

Yes you can give them orders, yes. Tactics to stay put, be agressive, be passive, use melee, use ranged, heal them and they also *drum roll please* Carry items! So you don't have to carry the load all by yourself. Also they revive after a little bit if they are killed. So it's not really necessary to heal them really lol. (at least from my experience)

Sounds pretty awesome actually, can you craft ammo on the lesbian?

I might just go out and find a huge entourage of companions, just so they can carry my stuff :D
Even though I don't really need to keep any more stuff, I've made a killing from the casinos. Think I've only got a few more casinos I'm not banned from gambling in.

Yes you can craft ammo off of her lol. Stimpacks, Ammo, you name it. Givfen you have the requirements and components to do so.

Yeah I want to get the achienvement for having them all. lol it would be funny to have however many (im guessing 8 or so) companions with you at once. You will need them when looting in one particular quest later on >.>

How do companions come in to play when sneaking and stealing? I basically have a dude who is really high in sneaking, stealing, and lockpicking and basically just steal everything I can get my hands on. Will having companions break you out of sneak so you can't steal or does it have no effect?

I really can't say, for I am the COMPLETE opposite hahaha. I am into guns, repair, speech, barter and science. With sneak and lockpick in the 10's (the lock pick amount I have hurts, but I will be working with it these next couple levels, I can't even pick easy locks lol). But I do know this, you can command your companions to stay where they are if you want, so if you need to sneak around somewhere they wont follow you and you can do your thing. The moment something attacks them though, they attack back so prepare for that. I think someone who is doing sneaking and such won't probably want a posse of companions following them.

Booch, you can only have one non-robot companion travelling with you at a time :(

And I find they get in the way, if I'm going to go ninja style for a bit I leave them in a safe place, because I have a companion that loudly attacks enemies that are far away. When it comes to stealing, they don't seem to have any negative effects. Robbing whole towns seems just as easy :)

I figured there would be some kind of limit but I wasn't sure how that would work >.< my bad.

Yeah the next character I go is going to be the sneak stealth evil type. It'll be nice. Pick pocket some fools and replace it with grenades. Fun stuff. That's what I did on 3 hahahaah

Yeah it's a blast. Make a ton of caps too. I decided to go the gun route first off in tis one though. Just to see what new weaps were around. Lots of military looking weaps which is interesting. Nothing beats the cowboy repeater though! hahaahaha jk though that weapon is the shit, theres many better.

Yea I've been teching up my guns as well, personally I quite like the cowboy repeater
But then again I was using a Varmait rifle for the longest time, so anything's an upgrade from that really.
I really like using a handgun called Maria though. Dropped from a certain villan :p

As far as pistols go I use "That Gun". Rifle's I prefer "This Machine". I want to get the unique of the Cowboy Repeater but I suck at the whole "Punch to hostile, draw weapon, shoot their arm holster weapon, lose aggro" thing. Ask Old Lady Gibson's accidentally deceased corpse =(

Edit: By the way, you got Matthew Perry's gun? Did you pickpocket it? Just curious lol

    64 hours and counting...

    So much fun.

Tip: at Silver Rush, 'pick up' all of the weapons one at a time (so that they are floating in front of you) and carry them to the room off to the side. Then steal them.

Thousands of caps gained, no stealth boys (VERY rare) used :D

Been messing around leveling up and getting better kit, think I'm about level 15 now, going to try it again tonight.

Fallout New Vegas DLC announced yesterday for 360 owners! Fortunately I have it on the 360, but kinda sucks for those who have it on PC and PS3. I'm sure it'll be a while if Fallout DLC history repeats itself :(

    Arcticle here

Comes out December 21st! Day one buy for me! Now I just gotta hurry up and beat the game lol.
