Forgive me for not being as excited as the rest of you on this Slapshot project..... as someone else pointed out the kid is quite naive on the challenges of making a code! But its ok to dream never the less
What? So he's not a programmer yet? And this is his first project? Eeek! Start small! Even iPhone development for dummies, you still need to know the basics of OO design to even think of making a game. Not to mention other game programming basics like game loops, event handling... frame rates.. etc.. There's a huge amount to learn, and you can't just start making games either... Even making a notepad clone on the iPhone isn't as trivial as you might think. Unless we're all mistaken and slashdot is indeed an experienced programmer just getting to grips with a new SDK?
He doesnt speak like he knows a thing about programing, he doesnt even have a concept art to show for Plus this is a guy who couldnt even use a jailbroken iphone correctly, clearly he has no clue about the system! dang kids quit fighting over a freakin game! there's nothing wrong with announcing a game without art dude! Other bigger names in development leave you with as little info as "we're making a new game" and you let it go like everyone else. cut the dude some slack man.

Go Slapshock you inspire me to dream as well, i am going to build my own robot. My project starts on wednesday and i'm going to decide what color my robot will be. I will build this machine from the scratch and i'm going to build it better than those guys that build the f-16 and the f22.

well personally I like slapshot but I don't think he alone won't be able to do everything he said but its his dream don't go on crushing it
Hahahahahaha! I find it wishful thinking to believe that someone who does not even sound intelligent ( I backtrack his post and some of it are pretty dumb) can do what EA,Gameloft,Chillingo,Ngmoco can't do. All the features he said are a developer's wet dream, I should know a have a programing degree from Texas tech and i find people gullible for believing in this sh*t.
