Fall Out Boy was great when they were a local band from the Chicago 'burns that did lots of acoustic stuff. I cannot get behind this unholy abomination they have become!

I think I still have a Fallout Boy CDR I bought at one of their shows before they started getting real CD's made.

5 Albums not enough? How long does a band need to be together?

I respect your opinion, but it kinda bugs me when previous fans decide to diss a band because they "became too mainstream" or "changed their sound". Look that's what artists do, they experiment with their capabilities each new album. I have been a fan of them for a very very long time and allow myself room to adapt to whatever style they take on, and they are always successful at whatever they aim for. Fall Out Boy (especially compared to all the $#@! you have out there nowadays like Britney Spears, *excuse me while I gag*) are one of the most original and innovative bands ever. Their lyrics are unlike anything anyone has ever written thanks to Pete Wentz, and each song consists of purely creative rhythms, beats, tunes, etc. thanks to IMO "musical prodigy" Patrick Stump. Fall Out Boy inspires me. The hiatus will not last forever, it's just a normal break period, they left a note saying "The best is yet to come"

    Completely agree.

I will play the ignorance card now:

Fallout Boy f*cking sucks. Bad. I mean they are garbage, and frankly talentless (ESPECIALLY the singer... good god). 3 chorded radio scum for the sake of wetting 11 year old girls' panties ftl. Seriously, I dont understand how anyone CAN like them. I am a huge music enthusiast, and while I will admit some of their songs have a "catchy" essence to them, that only works out for radio buffs, and I for one am not.

    /endrant

Back to the subject of them having a greatest hits: they are doing it for money. Plain and simple, they don't need it at all.

Don't you have to produce hits before you can release a greatest hits album?

Agreed, Fall out boy is just typical contrived garbage. But I'll admit Fall out boy goes great with side bangs and eye liner:rolleyes:

Are you freakin kidding me?!?! Fall Out Boy is great. And their lead singer is part of what makes them so great, he has a really unique voice and can hit a wide range of notes. Look everyone has different tastes...
