Go back to the statue you were at when you first entered or started the game place your fire icon on that middle one and the. A hole should open. Go there grab what you need head back to where you first started again go right then into the stairs the. Use the spirit lamp and bam water place.

Pretty neat game reminiscent of Zelda and the early Ys games. Ok so i got 2 of the red gems, the pick axe and the oil. I found the third red gem (in the room with lots of ooze) but I can't figure out how to get past the stone slab blocking the red gem.
