Okay, yep. Same issue on my 6. So with the lack of dev activity and responsiveness lately, it may be a while for us upgraders And I was doing so well at leveling up my Merlin!
Yeah very disappointing I am ready to evolve my King Midas and was going to add Snow Queen to my team of False Prince, King Thrushbeard and King Midas. I think the synergy is there so should be a very good team. I really hope they nail it quickly though can't submit a bug report as can't get into game
In the meantime, does anyone have any idea whether we can keep playing on another device and have it carry over if and when this gets fixed for the 6? I know it isn't an ICloud game, but the game phones home so much...?
I upgraded my 5s to ios 8 and have no problems with Fable Age opening or playing. Just my experience.
Ahh, so just the small number of lucky people that got a 6. Hey, so can I ask some strategy questions here? I have been playing generally just a little bit every few days, but have managed to get a number of people up around level 40 -50 but still get stomped on the hard difficulty special quests generally. My strategy is that I have all colors represented on the team, and choose 2 colors to have 2 members each (one being the "friend") and 1 color with 1 member. I am thinking that maybe I should build a team with 3 members of one color and 2 of the other? Or maybe a team with all one color? Then just concentrate on what the abilities of the team members are? Do people keep some of the team that can't level past a point (say level 35) just because they have some unique abilities, like getting rid of a certain color stone, and get those abilities fairly quickly? Or having a passive ability to increase links by 50? I look at the fairies and wonder about having one on a team for their sometimes very nice active abilities, like reducing an enemy by 25%. Other than that, they contribute essentially nothing (unless they have a good passive ability as well). Anyways, I am thinking I have been approaching the game sort of all wrong, and although have been successful, am now hitting walls, and have to alter my strategy, but to a certain extent have to start over if I am going to build up team(s) based on some of my ideas above.
Well I thought I was lucky but really sux about Fable Age, I was on a roll and I am not game to continue it on my Iphone 5 because assumed I would lose the progress on my 6 when it gets fixed. I approached the game initially the same way but in regards to strategy I at the suggestions of some forum members went with a mono colored Earth team for a lot of the earlier missions which was really strong and I just found the power lagged towards the end. I used Jack (The only draw one), sheriff of Nottigham, Siren and Robin Hood. This got me really far in the game. Siren and Robin Hood were my only low level restricted ones at 60 & 50 respectively. For some Heroic and above missions though it just wasn't good enough. I now use pretty much the four colors and pick the friend according to supporting abilities or a the color that is strong against the mission I am doing. I would never use fairies they are too weak. The sole use of their abilities is merging with a character with the same ability. For drawing I generally save my gems till I have 2 or 3 and then do them all on the day with the extra special character. I have never yet drawn a featured char but have got some good ones.
Can anyone tell me how tough the goldilocks battle is ? I am collecting keys like crazy (great leveling xp) but would like to know what to expect when entering the battle against goldi so I don't just burn my keys without a clue
I didn't do it yet, but considering the Brownweave Bear doesn't have some "gimmick" ability like the other pets (like the block chance of the Shadowhound or the poison ability of the Dragonling), I guess it will be kinda straightforward.
The Brownweave Bear does have a "gimmick" ability--Goldilocks drains link for every blue gem you match, which is why the Brownweave Bear restores link for every blue gem you match. This battle will be just as difficult as the False Prince or Phoenix Prince battles were before.
Here's my writeup for the Goldilocks battle: Legendary Fable - Goldilocks: The (current) Water Legendary Fable, Goldilocks offers resist, making her a key defensive Fable. For those who've been going through the Legendary quests, you should be familiar with how it works. Otherwise, it's simple: You complete the Hard and Heroic stages of the area, get keys, and unlock the Throne of the Legendary Fable (12 keys). Goldilock's pet is the [Epic] Brownweave Bear, which gets 350% stats during her mission, and gives you +1 link per water gem matched. It'll help you clear the pre-Throne stages pretty handily, but is only of minor use in the battle (asides from being a stat stick). Why? Well, Goldi's specialty is that she drains link for each blue gem that you match. And she drains more than the Brownweave bear gives. Basically, if you have a single Brownweave, you lose 3 link per blue gem matched. And you're gonna make a lot of blue gem matches. So, what team did I use? Epic Brownweave Bear - Hey, it sucks, but it's not THAT useless. 3.5x stats during the quest is enough to be useful. Jack, Slayer of Giants - Eh... so I went into this expecting to use a lot of link, but due to a later choice (you'll see), I ended up running on almost 0 link most the time. Frost Archmage - Destroy Nature gems! Bad idea. Resist was useful though. Big Bad Wolf - Health boost. Other than that, not much to say. Dragon Prince - Bad idea. Sure, you can tank some. But the link goes bye bye fast, even with Jack and Brownweave. So, basically, it turned into a really, really long slog for me. Don't take Dragon Prince, maybe an Epic Shadow Hound would be a good idea, the block will be more useful and consistent than the Dragon Prince. Fairy Godmother would also be a good idea. Can't say much about strategy, it's really just a long, boring slog with this team. Safe, sure, but my god don't do it. Take something with a little more punch. Please. Edit: Oh, forgot to mention: Goldilock's attack timer is every 2 rounds. The blue gem link drain is every round, but is considered AFTER her attack. So if you can restore link on the second round for Dragon Prince, it'll count in the defense against Goldi's attack. And then you'll have no link to drain after. So, eh. There's one idea.
For iphone 6 users there is hope, support emailed me and I was able to delete and reinstall the app and restore my account from Facebook after playing the tutorial again. So all systems go
Good news on the iPhone 6 issue. Regarding goldilocks can some one tell me how hard she hits per attack?
I believe she hits for around 13k every other turn. Managed to pick her up using Guinevere, Storm Sorceress, False Prince, Castellan, and a Snow Queen friend. I had around 50% resistance total (plus the Sorceress active knocking off an additional 20%) which made the damage manageable, and a 30% crit percentage which kept the links flowing with the Snow Queen passive. Guinevere's passive (heals 160 hp per link generated) did most of the healing from the generated Snow Queen links, and her active (12 links for 5 turns) gave a nice boost every once in a while. The attacks from the mostly red team didn't do a lot of damage, but Snow Queen's active (25% of enemies' remaining life reduced) took out huge chunks at a time. If you've got a decent crit %, I'd highly recommend having her on your team.
Thanks for the heads up! Damn tutorial takes forever and if you don't finish it in one sitting it starts all over!
Holy crap, I am not going to be able to beat Goldie but at least the runs give great blue xp for my under leveled blue guys..
Okay, Goldilocks is HARD. I'd even say she's the hardest of the legendary Fables (and I used the evolved forms of the respective pet for all of them). Even with Merlin and Snow Queen on my team, I was seriously link starved for the whole battle, which lead to me running out of HP since I couldn't link long enough chains with hearts to replenish it. I think she was the first legendary Fable I had to use a Fable Stone on.
Kinda new to the game, if anyone could help me out by using my referral code to help me get my Thrushbeard that'd be very much appreciated SLS7fEgjbf Cheers!
