The faeries are only good for skill merging and you really need 3 or more before having any real shot at it working. The others are only worth it when starting out since they mostly max out at 4* at best. If you look back a few pages I think Raistailin gave a good rundown on this.
Things are progressing slowly but well.I managed to get False Prince last event and have now saved up $8.5M so I think I will finally be able to get King Midas on the next weekend. My current top line up is False Prince, The Mad Knight - Lvl 80 (Leader) (Max Potions) Chaotic Thrushbeard, King of Axe - Lvl 75 (Max Potions) Neutral Jack, Slayer of Giants - Lvl 85 (Max Potions) Lawful Master Warlord - Lvl 50 (Not the best synergy) Lawful I am thinking I will replace Master Warlord with King Midas when I get him Interested in any thoughts on whether with my current heroes I can make this main team stronger? I do every event to get heroes if one of them helps. Maybe when I get Midas if I also switch Jack out for Beast Castellan that will be 3 Chaotic characters for an increased 12% Crit ? on top of the 11% my False Prince has My other main heroes are below FIRE The Beast's Castellan Lvl 1 Wicked Fairy Lvl 1 Witch Lvl 1 Inferno Enchantress Lvl 60 Sea Captain Lvl 1 Beast, Elite Warrior Lvl 1 Water Mountain Dwarf Lvl 1 Apple Queen Lvl 1 Water Druid Lvl 1 Plundering Pirate Lvl 1 Snow White Lvl 1 Earth Ivy Princess of Vines Lvl 60 Siren Princess Lvl 60 Robin Hood, the Master Archer Lvl 50 Sherriff of Nottingham Lvl 50 Little John Lvl 1 Shaman Lvl 1 Nature Enchantress Lvl 1
Not one I'll pay IAP for, would have bought it for a couple of euro maybe. It's a nice little time killer, like any other puzzler.
Is there a way to know from level 1, 2, or 3 if that character can be evolved to level 5 or even beyond? I started the game with Beast, and after finally getting it to Level 4, i find the Evolve button grayed - so my main character can't be evolved to level 5? What is with that? It seems that level 2 characters max at either 15 or 20, level 3 at either 35 or 40, but does it always follow that characters that have to evolve at earlier levels quit being able to be evolved before level 5? Resources are precious and so i dont want to waste them experimenting if someone knows. Thanks
There's a wiki page identifying all the known characters in the game (http://blueteagames-fa.wikia.com/wiki/By_ID). That's going to be your best option--click on the character name and the info page will tell you if the character can evolve. There's no way surefire way to tell in-game--you can often get an idea by looking at the album and seeing if there are open spots of the same color after your current evolution of the character, but that way isn't foolproof. And yes, I agree that it sucks that the starters don't evolve past 4 stars. There are 5* versions of each of the starters, but they're for all intents and purposes different heroes, as there's no way to evolve a 4* starter (Beast, Robin Hood, and Snow White) to the 5* version.
Agreed. Really want to use my new toys on new content! And I can be a bit more demanding now that I've dropped some coin on this game!
So, you essentially had 2 draws, and you got the Merlin? Sounds extremely lucky to me. Since it seems that my initial draws have almost 100% sucked - even the 4 star - Lancelot - gain 20 links back - I used that skill once in like complete levels. Tempted to just delete, delete, delete until I get a reasonable hero - but there are so many 3 star beginners that I wonder how many hours I will waste. I am stuck on level 15 on another device because the best I have got are 2 star and an occasional 3 star and none of them will level past 4 - so unless I get lucky, I die generally at the boss. I think the game does not like me...
Just in my opinion, Lancelot doesn't suck at all--he's quite useful for replenishing link, which is essential for a single-color team. I don't have a link-maker yet and I've been playing the game for 4 and a half months. It really, really, really sucks to go through a legendary dungeon and spend half of it with approximately 10 link, cramping the ability to heal or to do any real damage to the boss. I speak from unfortunate experience in that regard.
She's absolutely right. I have Red Riding Hood and was still really psyched to get Lancelot on a rare pull because he will be awesome for a blue-biased team. Those link makers are invaluable. You will use him a lot. And yes, I think you are right that I got crazy lucky on my Merlin. But that was my second PAID pull. I had done plenty before that with free gems. Somewhat relevant to that - it's my Merlin (because of the 50% link replenishment active) that has me finally wandering out without a link maker.
Just got geppetto from the draw - now if only I had a leader that would allow me to go beyond mono color.
I'm kinda psyched - not only did I get the Fairy Godmother on friday, but I just got a Fairy with Merlin's ability and the merge worked despite being only 20%. Though I am wondering - should I even use the Godmother? In theory, she's worse than the Epic Shadow Hound in my team (except for the 10% more Block). I have a neutral team of Merlin, Rapunzel, Shadow Hound and Emerald Sage. I think with the Emerald Sage on my team, I'm better off with the Shadow Hound since Fairy Godmother is Lawful. Btw, does anyone know all the super rare Fables that are only avaible every couple of weeks on fridays? I know Merlin and Fairy Godmother, and it seems that this week it's Rumpelstilzkin. Are there more?
Congrats to both of you on those draws, and on that 20% skill merge which I've never had happen. I'm up to about 90 friend draws so maybe I'll go fairy mining.
App crashes The app crashes when I try to accept friend requests but I haven't found any info online to help resolve the issue. Anyone else experiencing this?
I haven't but many others have had this issue. I think having a decent but less than your max friends help. I think people were saying less than 40. That said, I have more with no issues.
How is this compared to other games in the genre like PAD, Brave Frontier, or Dungeon Gems? I have always wanted to get deep into these games but in the ones above, I feel like I hit a paywall sooner rather than later. Is this game any different? I don't mind paying if I enjoy a game, but I don't like hitting a mandatory paywall where random slot machines for rare drops are the only way to advance.
Angeline and I are both non-IAP. I have had better luck with rare draws, but both of us are equivalent in content cleared (she's probably actually slightly ahead of me). We have both beaten two out of the four legendary fable quests. Gameplay is more fun than Brave Frontier (or so I found). PAD has more depth, but BTG said something along the lines of looking for more complex dungeon conditions. As to them actually doing it, well... it's been a while since we've heard from them here. Right now, view it as a game with a definite time to completion, since content is fairly limited so far. And it's a game where IAP helps, but you'll be able to clear everything without buying, and with a little luck.
I was so wrapped drew the Snow Queen tonight my first ever 5 star draw Unfortunately then I backed up my iphone 5 and upgraded to my iphone 6 on ios 8 and now fable age won't open at all :-(
