Can I just reiterate, BTG, that it is. So. F'ing. Annoying. to have to put your phone down for a minute and come back to a lost game and stamina?! Argh!!! Who thought that would be a good idea??
So, I've got a couple of ideas, none of which are probably accurate. 1) It's an "anti-cheat" attempt, because the game redownloads all the databases each time (that's the 0/7... etc each time the game loads). This makes sure that nobody can edit the local files and have it last. (nevermind that I see their encryption key whenever I'm feeling like sniffing traffic...) 2) It's a bug related to saving the game state. That is, they accidentally dummied out a function call that was supposed to save the game state. Instead, when it comes back it tries to bring back the game state, resulting in null.. and game ends up at the restart screen.
It simply CAN'T be on purpose, so in going with 2! It did seem to not check in much previously (for friend points etc.) but this is insane.
After two times on the False Prince quest, I learned to turn off my auto-lock and carry my phone with me everywhere I go if I'm playing. Sad but you learn to adapt. For a while I quit playing and picked up another game but came back because for all it's faults, it's a pretty good game!
I'm sorry guys who are sending me Friend Requests, but my game is now crashing when I click "Accept" on any Request. This seems to be a new "feature" with version 1.4.3. BTG, please start fixing bugs instead of adding them.
Actually, that's an old bug. I've been having that for a while. Gotta keep like 20 spots free on the friend list, otherwise it crashes whenever I try to make/accept a friend.
Yes, and no. Yes, in that you collect heroes and fight through dungeons. No in that the mechanism is fundamentally different. Instead of shifting orbs around the screen, you link them together, minimum of 2 (if you have enough Link resource, you can match 2 different gems together to boost your link). Experience is not gained by fusing monsters together, instead you'll use XP books that feed in a set amount of XP to a monster. It still uses the same IAP and Rare Draw system, though, so pretty much all of that is similar to PAD. Overall, they're two different games, with similar RPG mechanics. I like some of what FA does more, I like some of what PAD does more. They're just... different.
Sure thing. The Wiki will have a lot of good information for starting off, and I'm looking to condense some of the knowledge I've been posting and put it into a few guides there. We'll see.
For those who added me for the Crystal Phoenix (yes, that guy on Facebook was me), for this, I made the Epic Shadow Hound my team leader. I suggest anyone who got it to do the same, since it's really helpful for the community. I'm sorry I can't add any more people - when I offered my code on the Facebook page for the game, I got way over a hundred friend requests, and as you know, the friends list maxes out at 50, so I added people for two days so they could get the Phoenix Prince, deleted them (except for those who had usable Team Leaders), added more people, and repeated... and that got old really fast. Anyway, the Epic Shadow Hound is pretty useable as a normal Fable, too - it's kinda like a poor man's Fairy Godmother, and I since never got her and was lacking a Water Hero anyway, I think I'm gonna keep using him even after the Legendary Quest is gone. My current Team is Merlin, Queen Rapunzel, Epic Shadow Hound and Emerald Sage (and if any way possible, I go with a Snow Queen as my support character for recovery). It's a pretty cool, kinda tanky team, and if you get to a bossfight with Rapunzel's Special ready, 99% of all bosses are a cakewalk.
Ahh, okay. Thanks for making him available. And thanks for the current Merlin! Mine is the 110 Phoenix Prince. My handle on there is just G.
She's useful for links if you are running a red biased team but since I have Red Riding Hood she just rides my bench. To see her stats, double click on her. I'm not sure why they do it that way since it's long tap everywhere else.
Well as I don't have hood I guess she will do in a pinch, now if only the gal would drop for me already.. I need more stamina, stamina increase when player level up is simply too small in this game at level 39 I should have more than 37 stamina for crying out loud.
Holy crap, that's just insane.. Especially when taking into account the cost of some of the special quests.
