Hi- I'd just try the difficulty levels and see how you fare. Looks like Hard may be your limit at the moment. I can say that Red Riding Hood is absolutely a staple for me. Her link making is invaluable. I rarely go anywhere without her.

    Need help...

I tried recovering my account after the update incident that happened to many other players and now I can't get back my old account after trying to use the facebook link recovery, it just links it to my new account without asking to recover my old or use new one, so now I lost my lvl100 king midas, 100 gepetto, 81 pheonix prince, 100 rose red, and many other fables I've collected/leveled...

Sorry to hear about that, Grimm. Have you submitted a support ticket to them? I have screenshots of my box so I have at least minor evidence (photoshop being a thing, and all) of what heroes I had.

Ok, made it to the false prince but an all green team is not the right tool for that job :) so guess I will have to skip him as my blue team is no where near ready just yet.

Ouch Grimm, hope that gets fixed.. A game like this is only as good as it's customer support after all.

I can't take any screen shots so I have no real proof except those that have befriended my old account but my friend told me I'm not even showing up for him anymore... so I can only take it that I probably won't get any help, since I submited a ticket a while back that never got resolved...

So, Angeline and I both got False Prince last night. For those who're gunning for him, here's how I did it:

    Legendary Fable - False Prince

    My Team:

    Level 73 Prince Charming
    Level 100 Lancelot
    Level 94 Big Bad Wolf
    Level 50 Snow White (Starter)
Level 52 Epic Shadow Hound (Friend)

Everybody but Snow White had full potions, and Fire enchants. 28% Fire resist, total. End result was about 55k HP.

The False Prince is a Fire-type Hero who's focused on increasing crit chance, and massively increasing critical damage. His fight.... does not really reflect this. At all. Kinda?

Well, he's shut down by Block, so there is that.

Okay, okay, I'll get to the details.

Each Legendary Fable fight has its catch, right? Phoenix Prince damages you based off of the number of Fire Gems linked each turn. Dragon Prince regens. False Prince attacks based off of the number of heart gems on the board. So that's his thing, let's get into the fight to see how it works.

False Prince is on a 2 turn attack timer. Every 2 turns, he attacks 1 to X times, where X is the number of heart gems on the board. For instance, if you have no heart gems, you'll get attacked once. If you have five, you'll get attacked 5 times. Each attack is Fire damage, and I need to go capture exactly how much damage it does (I had 28% fire resist, but I did it last night right before sleeping, so.... I don't remember).

This attack also turns the heart gems into dark gems, meaning that if every attack hits, you'll have no heart gems to heal, and a bunch of useless dark gems on the board.

The catch is that if an attack is blocked, all further attacks stop. So if you have 4 hearts, but you block the second attack, you'll only take one hit (the first attack), and you'll still have 3 heart gems on the board (and one dark gem).

What does this mean for your team? Block is almost as important as resist! Epic Shadow Hound and Fairy Godmother are really good to have, since they're some of the biggest block increases in the game. Also, the Epic Shadow Hound gets +1000% to its stats, meaning that even if they're somewhat low level, they'll still add plenty of damage and HP.

    Now, for the fight itself.

Since the False Prince is on a 2 turn counter, and his primary damage is based off of Heart gems, that means you always want to make sure you spend the second turn either (A) making as few matches as possible, or (B) clearing heart gems.

    (A) Let's say you have 0 heart gems on the board. More matches is a greater chance for heart gems to drop. Sure it means that you're barely doing any damage that turn, but you're not going to take much either.

    (B) Healing for the next round of attacks, while also decreasing that attack's damage. Good decision overall.

And really, from there, it's a matter of using your skills when necessary (link regen helps, because links get eaten pretty quickly, and this is a loooong fight). Use nukes whenever they're up (unless it is BBW, use that sparingly).

I'll try to answer any questions I see pop up. Good luck this week!

Raistailin and I are still running into the close-when-idle bug (or, if it's not a bug, it's a rather annoying new "feature"). Is there any way we could at least implement a stop-gap of adding another state to the server? Basically, add a "failed dungeon" state. That way, on each boot of the software, you can check to see if a player started a dungeon but hasn't either failed it or completed it. If they've started it but not met either of the end conditions, drop them back at the beginning of the dungeon. That way, you would still lose your progress in the dungeon (which would still suck, and suck hard), but at least you wouldn't lose your stamina. It's really frustrating to lose hours of stamina because you had to take a phone call.

Great stuff. Thanks for this! Looks like I have one Shadow Hound available (is that you, Havelcek? "Krian"?). Need to figure out my fire resistance situation and may give it a go soon.

Edit: oh yeah, I have a Blazing Witch with 35% resist plus a 12% resist enchant. That plus an 8% all resist on my Queen Snow White gets me to 56% against fire.

    Amen to this. A-friggin-men

BTG- taking away any casual aspects of your game is not doing you or the players any service. It makes it that much harder/rarer to pick up the game and play it, especially on legendary fable runs like this week.

@houseofg - so I figured out the warrior damage issue -

It does indeed increase all lawful characters attacks. The reason that it does not show up in the "My Team" window is that window does not do health checks- so basically the multiplier is checked against health right before the attack and if health is > 50% the multiplier is added. Took a little trial and error, but that is what seems to happen. Thanks for your help previously.

Now I just have to get some powerful people that are lawful - my best people are chaotic or neutral...

Great. Glad you figured it out. That makes sense though it makes it a bit more difficult to compare team compositions.

Yeah, I find that I have more chaotic and neutral quality than lawful.

Got False Prince on the first try! Wasn't planning to go in but when a level 100 non-friend shadow hound showed up I figured I'd better go for it.

Definitely very manageable and not as prolonged as the Phoenix Prince. I just never got greedy, rarely going for more than one link, If any.

    My team was:
    Phoenix Prince (105/full potion)
Blazing Witch (65 and a 12% fire resistance enchant)
    BBW (fully pimped)
Queen Snow White (82 and 8% all resist)

The shadow hound was a huge help of course but the prince's hits were also doing very little damage. I wasn't even that concerned about using BBW's nuke a few times, knowing I could eke my health back up while not taking much damage.

Guess I'll farm for red books to level up Phoenix and False the rest of the week!

Been playing for a little while and I'm finally taking a crack at a legendary quest with the False Prince.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the tips; at least now I know what I'm getting myself into!

So, I'm at Phoenix Prince level 110, and from 110 to 111 is 74k XP.

I'd say take some time to at least get False Prince to level 60 (it's not really that much XP, in comparison), so you can at least get his evo'd form.

Yep, I came to the same conclusion. I'm happy to keep Phoenix at 105 while I get False up to a useful, evolved level. Have him at 37 thus far. So I should be able to get him there before this week's run is over. Thanks again for the insight on this one.

Could someone explain to me what it would be best to spend my keys on?

And do the runs still cost stamina ?

I used the key quests to level up when I'm close but don't have the stamina. It costs keys but no stamina.

Also pick the one you think your party can beat or it's a waste of keys. The Elemental Spirit Elixir is easier to do with the right element party.

My party is all water so doing the Elixir of Flame was easier but the last boss is on a 8 round clock surrounded by two armor/damage prevention guys so you need to clear it first before working on the boss and the boss will kill you in one hit.

So it really depends on what your party can do but I would start off with the Elemental Spirit Elixir quests.
