I put it together. That's probably Hercules, with the Nemean Lion skin on him. So, yes, he's got blonde hair on him. Bam. Dorothy sounds likely, and I'll agree with you that Quasimodo looks right, especially with the Gargoyle themed gear he's got on. Cool.
If you look back a few pages ago, FableGod got a fable named "Porthos, the Musketeer" in the rare draw, except it was a Fairy and the skills belonged to Beast. It also drained waaaay more Fable Stones than it should have. There were several other instances like it posted to the wiki (Dorothy, Quasimodo, Pinocchio, Gingerbread Witch, Alice) and there must have been others, too. The thing those Fairies did have correct, though, was the element, rank, and name. So because of that glitch, we got a bit of a preview.
Some of the new heroes we can expect: 4*'s "Heroes of Fable Land", burst gem drop rate enhancers (looks like evolved form gives 25% boost to drop rates): Pinocchio (Pinocchio Lore? Nature element) Hansel (Hansel and Grettle lore? Fire element) Princess Gerda (Snow Queen lore? Water element) "3 Musketeers" with "Double Element Protection": Athos (Water) Aramis (Fire) Porthos (Nature) Edit: And that is, in fact, a Blue Merlin. No idea on active/passive though.
New heroes is great, the more variety the better. I was wondering if drop rates have been tweaked though as I still can't get mountain dwarf to drop and even the Thursday quest for Rune of Heroes is not being friendly as have had only one drop (need four) in five goes on hard. Also does anybody know if the Green Sacred Lotus only drops in the Heroic mission on Friday or can you get it in the normal one as well? Finally what is the general consensus on the best enchantments for versatility of all the characters. I was tending towards resistances and increase critical chances? but regeneration does look good but not sure which elixir gives it.
I believe Regen is from the Defender Elixir. For the best enchantments, that depends on what kind of team you're putting together. It might change often, as well. Let's say you're running an Alignment-Crit team, so you've got Castellan, and some other Chaotic heroes. You could dose them up with Power boosts to make the crits stronger, or give them extra crit chances. If you're running a tank team, you've got BBW and some other life % heroes, you'll probably drop HP onto them. Think of them as "Easily" swapped out boosts to your characters, not just permanent, "This one is the best". For example, a lot of my heroes got Nature enchants to try to beat the DRagon Prince. Didn't work, but that's the kind of thinking that you have to go for.
I would say the best overall enchant for attack power is legionnaire. Good one for damage is crit rate which is best with snow queen. Defense vise i d say only the chromatic elixir or the apropriate element ones ie enchanting wood mage with nature elixirs etc are usefull. Maybe block can be useful aswell but havent tried a team based on blocks yet.
Anyone taking a swing at Merlin today? As for Mountain Dwarf, I believe I got him on my first or second Heroic run. I've had no complaints about drop rates in the weekly fables.
Not all of us can beat those quests just yet. Defender and Warrior elixirs are pretty easily gotten though.
Rolled and got a Geppetto. Just evolved him last week, so.. great. Re-rolls. I wonder if BTG will eventually include something like divergent evolution paths (see: P&D's "busty" evolutions) that allow you to better make use of doubles. Otherwise, they're just not really worth anything. Hella expensive to try to skill up an Evo'd 5* or 6* hero.
Got a Queen Snow White and a Princess Ivy. Not horrible for my needs. SW is actually my first 6* (once evolved). Ivy rounds out my princess collection (thus marking the first time I have ever used that phrase in my life) and I find them especially useful (the ones that increase both attack and life).
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'd say a whole team of Chromatics would be the best - straight up 40% damage reduction. If you have Goldilocks that jumps to 70%. Throw in Dragon Prince and some link regen, and you're practically invincible. Second best would be a team of blockers - Fairy Godmother 40% + 28% (highest I've seen in potion = 7 x 4 characters) = ~70% block. I don't think any offensive elixirs would be as potent, especially in the later stages.
I don't know the specifics of the Chromatic enchant, but damage reduction caps out at 60%. I believe Block works the same way, as does crit. Which, 60% total damage reduction? Still totally awesome. Some ideas I've been playing with: Jack + Lancelot + Dragon Prince + Epic Brownweave Bear. You get +9 link for matching Nature and Water gems, (cost 5 to make the initial link) plus +x link for however many Water gems you linked. Dragon prince turns this into a tank team, and you have 3 link regen actives in case you get cut down some. Something that's more farmable: Castellan + Master Beast + Fire Swordmaster + Briar Rose/Aladdin/False Prince/Rose Red. A crit-based Fire team that can be tinkered with the final member. Castellan + Fire Swordmaster gives you a good chunk of crit, and adding Rose Red or False Prince will make you hit more or harder. Briar Rose and Aladdin bring in some non-crit boosted damage, if need be. Depends on what you can get for the rolls for that one. If you can get all 3: Lancelot + Red Riding Hood + Jack + Thrushbeard = Infinite link + all around damage boost. Change Thrushbeard for Dragon Prince for tankiness beyond all reason, or flavor to your taste. Any other dream team builds?
The team I'm rolling right now: Merlin Rose Red Snow Queen Dragon Prince / Gepetto Merlin for damage + link regen with his active - usually not necessary as Rose Red + crits + Snow Queen = enough regen on her own. Dragon Prince for tanking. Sometimes I'll sub with Gepetto - esp. on the Legendary elixir quests as the boss hits too hard and fast for Dragon Prince to absorb and regen links.
bad rolls Been playing for about 3 weeks now -- fun puzzler but my rolls have been pretty bad. I've rolled 2 4*'s, luckily both blue ( Cinderella and Athos) and the rest are green/red 3s that I'm slowly evolving. Is this just bad luck or have others had to pay or wait to get 5s? Would be nice to get a little synergy on the team but that hasn't been an option thus far. Referral: IK6A40D87F
Sure seems good for defense. I prefer the high crit approach together with snow queen for links and legionnaire for damage. Almost Guaranteed regeneration of 20 and usual regen of 50+ links enables u to clear whole board each time. For legend bosses i use targeted elemental defence and guinewere with the crits (fire squire and apple queen) for heal(usualy 2 hearts equal almost sure full heal), because i dont have goldy nor godmother.
Hello there, I'm new to this game and I find it really great. Thank you for all your advice on this forum. They help me a lot. Referral: BW4Gs75kYb My team: Robin Hood Sorceress Blue Dwarf Red Guard
Thanks for all the tips and advice on enchantments, gives me a lot of options to think about and its great that a few different strategies are working effectively. The good news is I finally got my mountain dwarf, with the new all nature team strategy and evolved Jack I managed to beat the mission on hard and get the reward.
