Yeah, I've been running with 56% and it's fine. 57% and a Rapunzel buddy would knock him down to about 3000 per hit, so if you play it quite conservative for the first dozen turns or so to get Shaman's poison and Rapunzel's barricade up it should be fairly straightforward from there.
I'd need a friend with Rapunzel for that one. Having the game crash whenever I try to make a friend isn't very helpful. /sigh
delfin, if you're still offering advice, I'd like some on my chances. I have had pretty bad luck in the rare draw--I have drawn precisely 1 5-star hero since I started playing the game two months ago, and that was a Prince Charming I drew on the very first day I started playing. The rest of my draws haven't been abysmal, but they haven't been great either. From a teambuilding perspective, what do you think would give me the best chances of surviving the Dragon Prince fight? What I've got is below, from highest to lowest level: Lvl 69 Ivy Shaman (Poison/35% nature resistance) Lvl 67 Prince Charming, the Noble Knight (Nature-->Water/+60% atk for water) Lvl 67 Inferno Enchantress (Water-->Heart/35% fire resistance) Lvl 67 Apple Witch Queen (18x Water attack/+4% crit per Lawful hero Lvl 67 Master Warlord (40x lightning w/1-turn stun, +75% to Lawful if life > 50%) Lvl 62 Nature Swordmaster (12x Nature strike x2/2 link recovered per turn) Lvl 60 Ivy, Princess of Vines (Heart-->Nature/+30% attack and +25% health for Nature) Lvl 60 Fiery Witch (50% reduction in armor/30% fire resistance) Lvl 60 Sea Commander (2-turn stun/+50% life for fire) Lvl 60 Forest Enchantress (Fire-->Heart/35% nature resistance) Lvl 60 Leaf Druid (Fire --> link/7x heal per turn) Lvl 54 Little John, the Mighty (18x Nature/+4% crit per Neutral hero) Lvl 51 Ruby Sage (+75% chaotic for 1 turn/+30% atk and 25% life Chaotic) Lvl 50 Beast, the Master Warrior (30x Fire/40% Fire) Lvl 50 Robin Hood, the Master Archer (30x Nature/40% Nature) Lvl 50 Snow White, the Master Sorceress (30x Water/40% Water) Lvl 50 Red Marksman (15000pts Fire/+12% crit) Lvl 50 Green Marksman (15000pts Nature/+12% crit) Lvl 48 Flame Druid (Water-->link/7x heal per turn) Lvl 48 Rain Sorceress (20% decrease damage/30% water resistance) Lvl 40 Frost Druid (Nature-->link/7x heal per turn) Lvl 40 Siren Princess (2.5x Siren Princess's life heal/50% life Nature) Lvl 35 Blue Marksman (15000pts Water/+12% crit) Lvl 1 Wood Mage (Destroy Fire gems/25% Nature resist) Have I got any chance of beating this fight? If so, who would you use to do it? As a note, I can easily get to 60% resist using elixirs. My issues here are health and link, I think. Thoughts?
...To be honest, I'm not seeing much that might work. Here's a first attempt. Throw together: * Ivy Shaman (Poison / 35% Nature resist) * Ivy, Princess of Vines (Heart -> Nature, +30% ATK / +25% Life for Nature) * Leaf Druid (Fire -> Link, 7x Heal / turn) * Siren Princess (2.5 life heal / +50% life for Nature) and find yourself a Jack, Slayer of Giants buddy. I'm presuming that the Princess Ivy and Siren Princess life buffs will stack. If you can find said buddy, test it out on a cheapo level and see where your total life lands. The above will give you poison to block his regen, a low autoheal, a low heal active, a reliable source of links and an occasional source of links. Even with the buffs I don't think your HP will be enough -- I doubt these are the crew you've been pumping life potions into, and even at 60% resist he'll hit for ~5K a round. Subbing in Rain Sorceress would knock that down to ~4K if you survived long enough to get her active off, but that'd hurt your total HP. Note that even if the above does work as advertised it would take a couple of hours to take the Prince down, given his HP bar and no bonuses for attacking with Fire.
I think the prince has 30mil health so without big hitters/combos or %dmg (snow queen) then it will take a long long time to down boss.
Yeah, I figured it would be a long shot if I managed to put together a proper team, but I also figured it would be worth a shot if I could manage it. Putting together the team you suggested gives me roughly 14k life, which, with the 60% resist, means dead in 3 turns if I can't heal. The main problem is that if I get gem trolled once during all of this before actives start kicking in, I'm screwed. And that would be exactly what happened the first time I tried it with your suggested setup--on turn 4, there was not a single heart on the board, and there hadn't been enough hearts in the first place to keep my HP up. I have enough keys that I'll probably give it another 3 or 4 tries before it ends tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic. Thanks for your help, though--I hadn't even considered going in with an all-nature team. I guess the main thing I can do is hope that I'm strong enough next time these legendary quests roll around. Speaking of, does anyone know what the timeline is for them to repeat? Am I looking at 6 months? A year? Longer? (And yes, I realize the game hasn't been out long enough for people to know for certain if it is something like 6 months.) I am somewhat surprised that I've made it as far through the main storyline as I have thus far with the characters I've managed to pull--I'm in the middle of book 22 (Rumpelstiltskin, quest 3). When looking at how much health everyone else has beating these quests, I am far, far underleveled/undertanked for any of the quests I'm attempting. ^^;; I also want to suggest to BTG that there be some sort of intermediate level between Hard and Heroic. It very much looks like an exponential ramp-up--for my team right now, Heroic is next to impossible, while Hard is pretty trivial. That may just be me, though.
As high as the Prince's HP is, what you're going for is a state of equilibrium -- something where he can't kill you immediately even if you're heart-trolled. That means a link generator (Red, Jack, Lance) and either a stronger autoheal (Guinevere) or a strong damage-negator (Rapunzel, Fairy Godmother). You can get away with having only one of those -- all I have in that respect is Red -- but with none, it's tough to fill in that gap. Don't go crazy stoning to try to get Dragon Prince. He IS good, and there will be times when he will make a difficult level easier, but his passive is both powerful and counterproductive; it helps keep you alive but at the cost of the links that you'll need to stay alive later. Sooner or later the rare draw will give you useful pieces of the puzzle and teams will fall together. Given that the 'lesser' events like Shaman, Blazing Witch, etc. are already repeating, I suspect DP will be back before too long. It might run in a False Prince - Goldie - Dragon - Phoenix cycle or they may have other surprises in store.
I agree. The lack of a link regeneration hero or a strong healer/damage reducer is a huge flaw in my team, but it's one that I need luck that I haven't had in order to rectify. I've been making do with friends that are link generators (6* Snow Queen as a friend + a team with high crit% can be incredibly effective), but because of my personal hero inventory it essentially comes down to choosing between having link regeneration or enough health to take a hit from a boss. Not a good long-term strategy. Again, I agree with you here--I'm more looking at this as a sort of teambuilding benchmark for me. Since this requires keys, not stamina and I can reliably run the Hard Dragon Prince level (which is useful for me as it means I end up rank farming, giving me more stamina), it's a low-risk way for me to benchmark right now so long as I'm disciplined and realistic about my chances (meaning I don't spend stones to attempt to win a battle I'm realistically not going to win). That's good to know. I didn't realize that the Shaman/Blazing Witch/Sorceress quests had come up before. If that's the case, 4-6 months seems pretty likely for another go-around (since the last few legendary quests have pretty much been at one per month, it seems).
Random question: What are friend tokens for besides normal draw? I've accumulated so many tokens I don't know what to do with them.
5sh34VfZkm refer please ill attempt a push up > Also you get a free unit great for beginners and you can use my rose red lady level 50 who has best crit passive in the game!
Having the same issue, game crashes at 1/7. First crash was after opening a normal draw from friend tokens. Game froze and I am unable to get back in. Already submitted a support ticket on their page.
Woke up, was having this problem, decided to come post, and bam, you guys have already answered. Nice.
