To my knowledge, there are no bosses that actually have an instant-kill attack. You just need more health - 11k+ is enough to survive most hits. Use a Big Bad Wolf (+60% health).
Ok, Is this a typical P&D initial grind for a first 5*? Seems to be the case but I read earlier they are going to add a chance 6* sometime this week.
KennyO shoot us a support email, we'll track that you have completed that quest and we'll get you back a free fable stone. Noted this bug and will be fixing it asap.
To be clear, it's BBW's evolved form (Tyrant of the Woods) that's +60% health. And one problem that I've noticed is that even if you survive the hit, there's no guarantee you'll be able to survive the next one, i you get orb trolled, you might not get a good enough combo or enough hearts to tank the next one. Speaking of which, does anyone know the formula for recovery in this game? Seems to be based off a hidden stat, or related to level, but I don't know more than that. Sweetdiss, FA is a little different from P&D. They're still ironing out on how to build better dungeons, asides from the "this thing tanks like a mofo, and hits like a truck. Have fun". I am not sure if their engine allows for more technical dungeons, but the presence of binding enemies indicates that they should be able to do at least more than attack. The actual puzzle component is pretty good, pattern matching, but with extended patterns possible (Through links). The gems like to be trolly, but that's what you get with a game like this. It's well worth it to go through the first few dungeons and see how you like it. The game has a charm to it that others don't, with the use of common fable characters. Ikeda, there was a post earlier in the threat about how someone beat the first 23 dungeons with 5* and below heroes (using 6*s as friends, sure). chance 6*s appear once a week, and it's probably not best to hold your breath for one to drop. Stones trickle in well enough in this game, through beating dungeons and the daily rewards, that you'll build up several teams. XP in this game is probably more often a limiting factor to power than anything else, and you can just run guardian of the books smartly (get yourself within an appropriate amount of XP, and run it so you rank up when you run out of stam, and then run it again!) Phew, that was a lot of text. I should get to writing my teambuilding guide...
Thanks. I ended up getting the 5* Snow White. Not sure how useful she'll be but I did start with Snow White so I have a fairly solid blue team right now.
She is not bad, i would not use hp and attack potions on her though better save those for heroes that can reach higher lvls
quick question, is the server down? i'm stuck at the "Initializing Fable Age (0/7)" part for over 5mins.
I've been having problems with the server (claims it is my network) all morning. KennyO, Guardian of the Books requires a less intensive team than getting through the 20-23 book series (Rumplestiltskin is giving me a major headache, actually. Final boss is damn tanky). So for those of us not quite through the existing book series, GotB works great.
Ok Guys, Couple of questions: 1. You mentioned better guys to level people up (potions or some such). Where do I find this info? AFAIK, there isn't a wiki with a list. At least, my google hasn't found one. 2. In the spirit of #1, are the lower 1 star creatures worth levelling at all? Right now I'm running Queen Snow, Snow, Vine Shaman, Wood Mage. I levelled up my Flame Healer from 1 star to 2 stars but the hike was meh at best (glad she didn't lose her level at least). 3. I see all these people typing codes. I'm guessing they unlock stuff. Can you only unlock a friend referral once? Or alot? I ask because I have player id: 2wwq1T5laG. If only once, I can add someone when they add me (trade referrals). If multiple times, I don't mind adding others. I find I'm enjoying this more than P&D and Dragon Coins.
It's a tad ridiculous. I play with a team of LV50 heroes (Robin LV4, Snow White LV4, Friar Tuck LV4 and Rose Red LV4) and while I can clear the Tuesday-Quest on Hard in my sleep, I get wiped out on the first three waves in Dark Lair Heroic. And in like 10 runs today (I spent quite a bit on Fable Stones to reset my stamina), I didn't get a single Dragon Skull to upgrade one of my existing heroes. Any ideas on how to proceed?
You can get normal skulls in the respective color quests. The drop rate is not so great but it drops. Also try to get some good heroes from friends and try to go for more synergy. For example exchange snow white for the green linker elf or siren for hp if u have her.
1. Oh, but there is a wiki. It's fledgling, but there. Most of the information that's been compiled there is on what many of the heroes are, their max level, and if they can evolve. Most people are stating info from several months of playing the game, but a couple of people are trying to compile some information in a more centralized place. 2. I have not found a 1* hero worth leveling--it looks like all of them top out at 2*. Some of the 2* heroes are worth leveling/evolving (I personally like the Rangers, because the added critical chance has been hugely helpful to me when running several dungeons). 3. The codes are referral codes, and you can only be referred by one person, so it would be best to pick your first option and trade referrals with someone. There are rewards for gaining referrals, notably including King Thrushbeard. I also like this game mechanic more than the swap-and-match puzzle mechanic P&D has. This game has a few bugs/issues largely related to its newness, but I have faith in the devs to work through them.
What is the name of the green link elf and the siren? I have a Siren Maiden. But wouldn't that make make my team too mono-colored? My only other 4-Star heroes except those in my team are Red Riding Hood, Leaf Sage and as of three minutes ago the Huntsman.
Indeed it will and that is the point, because you will get a lot of synergy. Friar tuck gives links based on the amount of green heroes siren gives u extra hp for green and robin gives u extra attack for all green whereas snow whote alone doesnt do much. The link elfs name is nature elf lord or something like that, but you can use the red riding hood instead or just tuck for links if it is enough for u. I am mostly using all blue team and via synergy i have 18k hp and am easily able to do couple of milions of dmg when my abilities on heroes are charged.
So I'm just starting out, so a noob question if you guys don't mind. I see a bunch of folks saying that they run a Snow White....I just got a 2 star Snow White....should I be upgrading and evolving her to 4 stars? Thanks
The 3 starters (Snow White, Beast, and Robin Hood) are pretty good heroes to have, their stats are decent, and their passives at max evolve are pretty strong. Their actives take FOREVER to charge though, and aren't really that strong compared to some nukes. So, I'd say, go ahead and evolve them all the way up. They'll help you form a pretty good team for each color.
Okay, I'll level up the Siren next. I think I read something about Elf farming in one of the posts, and I remember sometimes getting new fables as rewards in the lower levels. Is there a consistent way to farm for the Nature Elf Lord (or his predecessor who I could level up)?
