I believe if you are lucky enough you can get from rare pull and i havent seen an event for him. My own multi color setup is merlin, hound, paladin, thrushbeard. Hound for the 30% block and paladin & thrush to boost atk with merlin for bonus. I tend to then grab a link regen hero from friends.
And another thing. Does anyone feel the droprate for Rare Heros from Fable Stone Pulls is WAY too low? When I found out I enjoyed the game, I spent like $70 on Fable Stones for pulls (I stopped smoking recently and allowed me one draw for every day I didn't smoke). However, except for Rose Red, I only got 3 Star No-Name fables - which kind of feels like a ripoff. Did all my buy during events, too.
Yeah I have been experiencing something similar. I get 80% of pulls being 3* and majority of the rest being 4*. Out of 51 pulls only getting 3 5* heroes.
If you don't have a Witch from the current event, get one. She's a nice unit to have around the house, particularly for her active skill, which defangs the annoying Absorption property of many late-game bosses.
So how do you advance when you have a mostly 5* team? I can't get past book 20, 3rd mission, and am not sure what to be doing/running. My team is good on links, but not really much else: 1. Jack the Gian Slayer/5*/56/1442 health/999 attack 2. Fire Knight/4*/60/842/1083 3. Lancelot/5*/53/1447/922 4. Frost Enchantress/4*/1144/678 I have the following unleveled: Wicked Fairy, Flame Mage, Ruby Alchemist, Wood Mage, Emerald Alchemist, Siren Maiden, Nature Squire x2, Water Brute, Blue Ranger x2, Water Squire and 2 stars and fairies. I have low level enchants on most, with potion use heavier on the two I'll likely keep the longest, Jack and Lancelot. I haven't yet successfully completed any Elixir quests, but perhaps I should try again, its been a bit. How to progress?
Main thing that helped me was i got the hound pet that gave 30% block and put +block enchants on other heroes to get to 50% block. that was a big turn around for me as you take bo dmg on block and if your lucky those one hit kills get blocked too. So you wont get one shotted no matter what if you block.
Is there some way I can farm for the hound? I'm concerned that I just need to farm fable stones, and if that is the case I might be done.
Describe the wave that kills you. General advice would be to do a stage that u can complete to get more exp and lvl up your team. Best r always bossfights.for example i used to farm book 21, before i was able to beat book 23 easily. Higher books give higher rewards. Also allways buy all elixirs u can from daily shop and try to get some good synergies or friends to further help u.
A big boss with an insta kill attack in 3 turns. I can't get him anywhere near half damage, even if I take a friend that gives +75% to my 3 neutrals, so I'm sure the answer is I got to find a way to survive the attack. I dont recall what color he is. The 3rd wave in book 20.
Then the answer d be to get more hp or resists for the colors of the boss. From what u stated u had the siren and watter squire give u more hp. You can use ruby alchemist to halve the dmg or use some friends rapunzel 40% dmg reduce.

At least in the beginning, it's a bit too much luck based for my taste. Maybe it's better if you have the right heroes (i.e. those with gem-destroying and gem-color-change skills).

It's situational. If you know what you're going to be fighting, obviously picking a team with the opposing color or with strong resistance against that color will be a good idea. Skills that boost a specific color will also reward single-color strategies. On the other hand, some skills boost an alignment rather than a color, and other skills like Witch's defense buster, Red Riding Hood / Lancelot / Jack's link builder or Rose Red's critical boost help all colors, making a balanced team more successful. Short answer is, build your team around what units you're lucky enough to get.
So what exactly does the elixir of wisdom do? I dont want to use it on something just to find out Edit: hahahahahhahaahah tried it and it does nothing just disappeared lol on top i lost 40 energy for no reason good times
Merlin event 24/06/14 Hi im also new and very eager for this fellow named merlin. We all need the beast MoDe! Was wondering if people were eager to post a quick reply if they get merlin this week when his available. Ill be rerolling about 20 times a day, if others could do a few re rolls and post their results we might be able to figure out which day he is available and grind for his ass with dem gems. So as long is your account is secured with facebook all you have to do is uninstall the game and reinstall and your account will be safe and are able to start a new account. Play about 3 minutes of tutorial and u get 5 gems. Rinse and repeat GL HF
