The word finally in relation with 7 tries gave me a chuckle alas i got it in the end too (close to 30 tries maybe ) On another note does anyone know if sapphire orbs drop anywhere outside of wednesday quest (since it doesn't say that it only drop there)
I got two -- one on try #11, one on a burn-what-stam-I-have-left run right before it expired. As far as I can tell from beating on every quest level, sapphire orbs are Wednesday-only.
Oh boy, more 'new content' following the exact same identical bad formula where it spawns unwinnable. It's one of the most outrageous cases of fake difficulty I've ever seen in gaming.
The fat shield(s) + liches combo, particularly as a round 1. It's hard to imagine anyone's even making it to the other threats regularly. Since the shields have hefty defense, suck up 15 hits and protect the liches behind them, when this combo appears you have one turn to do a megacombo or you're doomed. If you don't kill the shield immediately, which on many starting boards will be impossible to do (hope your ESP kicked in so that you brought the right colors), the enemies retaliate and now you have a sizable chunk of health missing, a shield at 2/3 health and two of your team bound. Attack again, and now you're close to dead, three or four are bound and the shield still has half its health. Continue until game over. Phoenix Knight's autoattack is affected by defense, so he's useless. Poison skills won't be anywhere near up on Round 1, so they're useless. AFAIK there's nobody with an "ignore defense" passive skill. The one time that I did make it to the end of one of those Fableton Library levels, the boss killed me because he hit like a truck on a short timer, but that's something I could plan around if I didn't need an extremely focused spike team to get past the first round reliably. Experimenting with an extreme crits team now. EDIT: Results pretty much as expected. The problematic wave: here. I did manage to beat this wave, only because (a) it's the variation with one shield instead of two and (b) a lucky crit took out the shield on my second attempt. However, this was largely luck-based and also left me with a team unsuited to beat the 10K green/round high-HP boss at the end. EDIT^2: Two more attempts at Heroic (I don't even want to know what's in Godly), both ending on the first round because of this. One was with a pretty good red team and a False Prince friend going for crits and not getting enough, one with my pictured standard team and a level 109 Thrushbeard buddy. A full-board link, three drop-in red matches, and two fully-potioned red units hitting green shields and nothing to show for it but two bound units, a 40% health bar and a string of 1s. In a word: Nope. If there's some strategy I'm willfully missing that isn't "burn stones like they were free," I'd love to hear it.
Game is hard I wont even try this week i think since i have only blue heavy team at top lvl for now. I am looking forward to the next weak fire lineup which i might be able to beat. I think having only one lich per wave or max 1 guardian might help since the wave of 2 plus 2 is just too much. If u have large hero pool the max dmg strat with appropriate element might work it is way easier to get 30k dmg with fire then getting 120 with water. edit: haha i ended up going for it anyway - and got owned by 2 consecutive waves of lich - it is really fun to start the next wave of impossible round with 3 heroes already locked from previous one. The best part is i even managed to take down the guard but died anyway since it spawned 2 blue liche for a change and i went for defense against green lineup sacrificing some hp
Got the Chromatic elixer snd my first one gave a rank 6 enchant, so 10% resistance to all elements including dark, gave it to my goldie, so now she has 30% resistance to all elements, gonna be amazing for my degensive team!
Sounds like if you put her with a Dragon Prince or Fair Godmother (for the Block %), a Druid (Heals per turn), and maybe an Enchantress (heart making) or a Big Bad wolf (60% HP increase), you'd have a pretty decent team. 30% resist to anything + heals per turn + blocking + HP increase or heart making? So long as you can tank one hit, you're probably pretty set.
So I used a Water Elixir, and my enchant showed up as "5% to max Water resist, 3% to max Water resist". What precisely does that mean? I put the hero with it on one of my teams and it increased the Water resist by 5%. I'm a little confused because the two clauses say exactly the same thing but clearly have different effects.
The first one is actual resist the second one is ressist cap On another note getting duplicate rares on rare draw that u cant even use to get higher lvl on the fisrst one (fire squire) is not the greatest feeling
I may be wrong (and feel free to correct me, anyone), but I believe that he's a Nature version of the Fair Godmother. I don't know what his Active is, but I am pretty sure his passive is a large % block. I don't have one myself, so can't verify. Edit: Rare draw for the day was Geppetto, not the Fairy Godmother or Aladdin like I was hoping. Still, since I got Jack with my last rare draw, I think the two should work pretty well together. Add in Robin Hood and maybe Little John or Tuck (if I can ever get him to drop), and I think I'll have a fairly solid Nature team.
The Dragon Prince trades damage you would have taken for links, it's about 2% of your total hp in damage for 1 link. So if you have 10,000 hp and something hit you for 5,000 hp you would lose 25 links and take no damage. My rare draws always suck and they're really the one thing that always make me want to quit. 95% of the time I get 3* junk from the rare draws, I wished the pool of 3* that you get from rare draws were better cause at the moment rare draws is more like junk draws for me lol.
That's a pretty awesome ability. Is there any chance he'll be available in rare draws? Or have we missed the chance to get him altogether? I'm bummed that I started too late and missed all these events. I'm curious how do people structure their teams? I don't have enough strong heroes to do an all-element team and I don't see how useful those would be? Since there's always going to be links of multiple types. My standard is Merlin, Rose Red, Snow Queen, Gepetto - for high linking, and regenerating links w/crits. Occasionally I swap in Big Bad Wolf for the health on the harder quests.
I noticed the evolution materials are sometimes avaible in the "regular" storybooks. I'm up to book 16 in storybook now and starting to get materials for the LV5 evolutions - however, both my Snow White and my Robin Hood are still lacking their respective Dragon Horns for their LV4 evolution. Had no luck this tuesday, either. Does anyone know if either Nature Dragon Horns or Fire Dragon Horns drop in regular storybooks, and if yes, in which one?
