Whatever the app crash bug is, it's got me now too. The game played fine earlier in the day, but now it gets as far as Initializing (2/7) and poops out. An iPod reboot didn't fix it.

It's good now, just added new content for tomorrow and one of them had to be reuploaded.

Goldilocks legendary quest tomorrow, good luck!

I'm just wondering what is accurate for the rare draw events what it says ingame for the draws or what was posted on facebook? On facebook the rare draw event for 5-25 to 5-31 has fairy god mother, rapunzel and snow queen but ingame it says blue heroes 3-4*. Thanks.

With this week's legendary quest being Goldilocks, I'm 99% sure that the next two legendaries are going to be the Phoenix Prince and the Dragon Prince. Can't wait!

Goldilocks' ability when you fight her is insta-kill in 2 turns along with reducing 3 links for every link you use, EVERY turn, perfect coubter for the dragon prince

Instant kill in 2 turns? How do you win, then?

Also, 'frozen sea - heroic' is either bugged or completely overtuned. I dumped like 5 million damage into the miniboss and they didn't die, then all my links disappeared.

EDIT: The shop is ALSO broken, locking up and crashing every time.

I tried her out this afternoon. With 37% Water resistance she hit for around 9675, so that's about 15Kish unresisted. Water resistance is not my strong suit at the moment, so I'll have to shuffle some enchants around to compensate.

On her non-attack turn, she adds up counters for something; I've seen 7, I've seen 11, some other numbers. I'm not sure what is being counted but it can't be good.

Does anyone know what the max water resistance is without any cap increases? 50%?

EDIT: Shop is no longer crashing.

Round 2 -- lasted a bit longer with 60% Water Resist going, but she ate all my links away and that was that. My favorite Guinevere provider has a Snow Queen up instead, so round 3 will be some time tomorrow.

Correction, goldilocks takes out 3 links for each water gem you use against her, very tough!

So, my girlfriend and I recently started playing the game. This topic has been a pretty big help, but there's still a lot of information that's not really put down or codified.

    Our solution? Make a wiki.

Since this seems to be the primary area of power players, and BTG actually reads this topic, I'm hoping I can get a lot of help from it.

You can find the wiki here.

As you can see, we filled in basically everything we knew and could extrapolate, but we're still missing chunks of heroes, and plenty of other in-game knowledge. Please feel free to register and add what information you have, especially when it comes to Fables. We're trying to fill out the entire album for newer players , and eventually add in team building guides, and maybe tier lists.

So, let me know what ya'll think. Hope everyone gets some help from it!

Heh. I wonder if it's the act of clearing blue gems itself, or if it only dings you if you have a blue unit doing damage? My main source of water resist is a Frost Archmage, so I'm kinda stuck either way.

Seems to be a one-trick pony -- eats links on blue, then hits hard every other turn -- so if I can figure out a coping mechanism it should just be attrition. I'm not sure I have a team that'll do it though.

I tried with no blue pets to see and it still eats them, so there is no way around it at all and you end up with 0 links almost immediately no matter what.

It doesn't look like this fight was tested at all. If none of us can even come close then it's clearly massively overtuned.

Does anyone know the formula underlying recovery orbs? Do heroes have a hidden recovery stat or is it constant (ignoring skills)...if constant, what is it?

Death after ~50 turns (based on skill activations) and just look at that health.

I'm setting up shop in the 'literally unbeatable' camp until someone proves me wrong.

Hey all, I'm on book 17, 2 4*s that are getting close to 5*s, and the others are a 4* that is level 50 (and can't go to 5) and a 3* that is around level 38 or so that I'll jettison soon since I have another 4* that can go to 5*.

    Questions:

    (1) should I buy the keys for 2 fable stones (today's deal);

    (2) should I save up 1 mill for the hero you can buy?

    (3) what should I use the keys I do have for? I tried the blocking quest and failed it

    (4) not sure I understand the enchant levels. you get a different random enchant, your enchant level goes up, but its not better?

    (5) what should I be looking at focusing on?

    Thanks!

Careful matching won't help you avoid the link drain, because drop-in blue matches will eat links just as efficiently, and her health bar is immense. Skills won't do it, because actives won't recharge fast enough and I don't have a set of passives in mind that are powerful enough.. Healing and Resistance won't do it, even with a pumped-up Guinevere, because if you have no links you can't link anything, and if you can't link anything you can't get healing from link recovery. Link Recovery skills won't do it, because bad drop-ins can easily overwhelm Red / Jack / Lance and Merlin's or Midas's won't recharge fast enough.

Yeah, I'm out. Devs -- any stats on how many HAVE beaten that mission?

    1) No. Once you start clearing high-end missions reliably you can get more than enough keys to do the 6/8 key missions when you need them. The 30/50 are best avoided for now as they're really nasty.

    2) I think it's 10 million, isn't it? Either way, you'll get a lot more mileage buying potions from the store with that gold.

    3) The boss at the end of the 6/8 key missions is pretty much always the same; long delay followed by one-hit kill. You need to go in with a team that can churn out enough damage to drop him (a Thrushbeard buddy can help, for instance), and once you can do that reliably it's elixir city.

    4) As far as I can tell, both active skills and enchants are limited to level 4. If you use an elixir, it doesn't "level up" your existing one; it just rolls up a new potential enchant and lets you pick the old or the new. Spam them until you get one you like. They're useful for tacking on things like damage resistance, power/health boosts, healing per turn. I haven't really done much with blocking yet but with the right units (Fairy Godmother, anyone?) it can be powerful.

    5) More useful than just listing stars is to tell us who they are. There are fair, good and awesome units in the same star tiers.
