Just got a completely accidental 122 combo with a 6* Merlin for over ten million total damage (+1210%). Too bad it was on a worthless trash wave.
YES NEW UPDATE! Hero lvl is finally capped at 120! Upto 5 new teams! And new fables! WHY DOESNT BOOK 24 UNLOCK?
Question for the developers, just out of curiosity - Why is the art so different between heroes? I mean, I really adore the cartoonish style of Red Riding, Rose Red and all the others... Then I switch to Snow White and Cinderella and they're totally different, a lot more "asian" if you get what I mean. Again, just plain curiosity.
FableGod: 24 book onward will have new enemies, which we are still in the process of designing. Should be ready next update. Rocketh: We have two character artists do these units, and one of them does draw them more asian-style, good catch.
Someone had to be first: I tried out Guardian of the Books. It unlocks a one-hour mission called Experience Vault, which costs 20 Stam and has 5 battles. The enemies appear to all be weak spirits holding books; a couple had more powerful books and had higher defense but were otherwise unremarkable. I got a drop every fight, which were either gold experience books (the common kind), red/blue/green mid-level books or red/blue/green 10K books. One stone on first clear. Once the hour was over, the mission grays out. We'll see if it's back tomorrow.
Interesting. Thanks for reporting back. Was wondering how much time would need to be dedicated to that.
Wow... Fableton library godly level destroyed me in the forst wave, those skeleton mages hit hard, and when they hit, some of your characters cant hit for a number of turns... Plus they're guarded by evolved stump monsters that need to he killed forst
I am extremely dissatisfied with the insane difficulty of the new key quests...in fact, it seems like it goes beyond difficult and sometimes they even spawn as literally unwinnable depending on the random enemies. You'd be better off playing Dark Souls with two broken hands.
I'm not sold on 'unwinnable' quite yet -- it's certainly a change in strategy, I can't just throw raw damage at it. My problem is that I don't have enough keys to really test it yet, and there isn't a wiki or anything containing its details.
I'm not saying it's always unwinnable, just that some random permutations are. Extremely powerful first wave that kills in 2 turns + no skills charged + bad random starting board = impossible. No strategy makes a difference in that case, and given the extremely high cost to run it in the first place, that's lame.
Well, even with units bound hearts still work for regen. I'm toying with a high-HP squad that might let me play a stalling game and get things moving, but I need to regen the keys to try it. I assume that Phoenix's attack-everyone-each-turn passive is affected by defense? I've only tried one once.
I've reported this to BTG but haven't heard back, lost two heroes like this and I believe it's was when selling others
Progress: This is what lurks at the end of Fableton Library: Heroic. I went with raw critical damage and while my team isn't what I'd call optimal for that, I blasted through round 1 in one area attack when crits kicked in. Some of the other rounds are shield monsters + liches, others are more normal monsters. The front liches in round 7 died quickly, but the fat guy in the back has a huge health bar and hits for about 10K every round. I have a couple of ideas for tweaking my team to compensate but it'll take a while to implement that, as they'll involve a lot of leveling and potioning.
The fat one was tough to beat, but managed, I just went crazy on the libks and combos, went in with a fairy godmother, her 40% block came in handy
Sorry about what happened, we did get these reports too and is working hard to get this resolved. The challenge is me and my team are having trouble duplicating the bugs, so we don't have a clear way to go about fixing it. Needless to say this is high on our list and we are doing all we can.
