Thanks, I am really proud of Explodables, really looking forward to seeing and hearing the reactions of people to the game. I've tried to do something slightly different, and something that I've wanted to play. Not really enjoying playing the waiting game with Apple, but it's giving me a chance to start on my next project
Really excited, we have been given approval by Apple, unfortunately missed the August 25th deadline, but it meant I could enjoy a game or two of Infinity Field in peace. And more good news is that Explodables has an official launch date of the 1st of September, at the ridiculously reasonable price of 99 US cents, and a promotional budget that will far outstrip Half Brick's Jetpack Joyride. We will be buying a full litre bottle of Coca-Cola, and depositing one roll of Mentos within. And my mate Bob will be watching. Now I have to run off and finish building the website.
Now that sounds like a party, I'm going to have to bring more Mentos. Just finished the first draft of the iTunes info/app description thingie Have you ever wanted to explode things? Lots of things? I've sent an update to Apple for Explodables, as I noticed on the statistics screen that it would show a number for a global high score, that might not necessarily exist. And if this occurs when there isn't even a global high score table associated with the level (i.e. a tutorial level), it's a bit of an issue. I've asked for a quick review of the upload, but if this doesn't happen, I shall move the release date back by a week. Very frustrating.
Good news everyone. I requested an expedited review from Apple, and they agreed, so it looks like Explodables will still be released on the 1st of September. Oh, and the website is now up. Let me know what you think.
