Hi, I am not sure whether multi-tasking drains battery or not, but if it does... even by 5%, wouldn't it be handy to have a exit button in every game and other apps so that they doesn't stay on and unnecessarily drain the battery?

I think you can remove them from your Multitasking bar. If I'm correct. I don't have Multitasking so I wouldn't know.

If you open the multitasking dock, hold onto one of the icons and a little negative sign will appear at the corner each app. You can use that to close them.

They'll definitely add a killswitch of some sort eventually.

The system more or less 'stops' any app that hasn't marked itself as having a task it needs to accomplish while in the background. So unless a game is explicitly programmed to do something while in the background the only thing you'll notice is that switching back to it is quick and easy.

The system will also handle quitting background apps if memory gets tight. So while you can quit them by holding on them in the switcher, there is almost no time you would ever care to. Perhaps if you have one that is acting buggy and would rather restart just that one app rather than your entire phone.

Hope that clears it up some.

What cifri said. No CPU usage, no battery drain*. Therefore no need for SBSettings/a killswitch/manual app closing. Unless you're actually having problems just leave it alone.

    *bar a few exceptions.

*cough* This isn't the jailbreaking section. *cough* There is a utility in the App Store that can stop backgrounded apps (link.) However, it turns out this feature is now built into the OS so... no need to spend 99 cents or bother with jailbreaking headaches.

Jailbreaking makes it free, and it's easy if you use Youtube, but let's stay on topic.
