The Mark Here's the first design for a "Mark" in the game. We'll be developing this out as a system and revealing what they do and how they work very soon.

The Slime We're diving into a ton of NPCs and working on the storylines and Quest chains this week. Here's a taunting Slime we're fooling around with, complete with protruding sticks and a sword stuck in its backside (notice the player avatar getting a black eye too):
Here's another GIF made as we work on fighting the NPC Slime. We're experimenting with how NPCs look in the game and how we can replicate certain animations to create tons of baddies that fight players throughout the game world. More on this system in the next full game dev update, which I'll post here when I've got it up.
Design Quest: Create a Zone We've just kicked off our first Design Quest, where the community contributes design ideas for the game (and end up in it). This first one challenges everyone to create a Zone within the game world and there's already a bunch of great ideas being discussed. Participants get a nice badge (that looks like this) as well as in-game goodies when the game launches. This is the Zone in the World Map: And these are the threads so far that players are working on: 1) MAIN DESIGN QUEST - this houses the rules and initial ideas for the Zone 2) ZONE HISTORY - this is where you can literally make history Two more are coming in the coming days (flora/fauna and civilization threads). At the end, we'll have the basis for a whole set of Quests, fights, NPCs and custom lootz.
Quick update on updates: [] There's a Game Development Update live on our blog HERE [] The Design Quest continues in full force, with ideas going in about the geography, history and flora/fauna of the game world zone [] This week, we got a bunch of the enemies that players will fight in PvE up and running, including the Embermark take on elves, ghosts and SPIDERWOLVES (not a joke-- well, sort of a joke...)

Hey @Kimchisoju, no worries on the forums-- if you're signed up there, you're on the list for updates about when the Beta is getting close and starting. We're still jamming through initial production, but things are coming along great and we hope to have some dates soon. Once we reach Beta, we'll invite the group from the site to sign up for a Beta slot, and if you send me a PM on the Exiles forums or here on TA, I'll put you on the "interested" list (no guarantees, but we'll start with that list of invitations for Beta).
