I can afford an expensive apple device because I don't piss away $5 at every opportunity because "it's $5 man". If your honest opinion on the premium mobile market is that games are so cheap, we should just leave our standards and concerns at the door and piss away our money on any old thing that comes along then it's doomed anyway. I love premium games, but if there's an expectation from developers that they're pricing is so low, I'd be some kind of asshole to not just pay up regardless of quality, then this isn't going to remain a very good gaming platform.
Agreed, it's just not correct. I've spent substantially more than that with it and I'm nowhere near finishing the storyline element. It probably depends on how one ploughs through it but 30 mins has to be way off the actual mark for campaign element. Anyway, the "content" is a lot more than just the campaign. Open world, exploration, etc. (Edit. See Josh's post below, more content will be coming so even better as a long term keeper) Also, on the earlier point of cost, it's a wicked soft buy for 5 quid, negligible. I didn't even think twice about it even though the early posts here were very off putting. It's a very solid game that is visually excellent. I would like some right side control tweaking and there is a bug or two to quash out but the faith I have in Crescent Moon and Josh combined with the pure quality of the game visuals and small device memory print, it's a complete no brainer to just buy and enjoy. And as a PS, it's premium with no iap. That's so rare these days that it's worth it on its own. It's helps that the game is actually good. It's no console game but consoles games have substantially multiples higher budgets and cost ten times this at launch. For what one is paying for this, one is getting a huge return on investment. With many hours of gameplay.
I think if you blaze through the game on a bike hell bound to get through the main quest and don't explore any of the rest world you can probably get through in an hour or so - but the world is insanely huge. We just need to add more stuff to it Its amazing that its been over 2 years since we started!
I'm not saying piss away $5 on every game that comes out but at this level of gaming its not necessary to nit pick as much for games that are that low priced. If you just don't like what the game has to offer its one thing everyone has different tastes and I wouldn't spend 99 cents or freely download some games people would spend $10+ on, but for a $5 game to be passed back and forth in your head so much its not worth the time thinking that much about it. I guess what i'm trying to sum up here is that if you are semi interested $5 shouldn't be a distraction not to jump in. Crescent Moon Games are usually quality developers.
So when we've finished the game, we can play that new content without starting a new game? Any idea your plans for the rolling out of new content? You have my sale, I am just wondering so people on the fence can climb down and pick a side. Hopefully on the sale of buying it.
Always been a fan of Crescent Moon, easy to talk to, fair few updates as well. Like i say their previous RPG's have been superb. Got a lot of faith in this one
Plus it helps that Josh is a genuinely nice guy who happily interacts with customers. And that is greatly appreciated.
Game Impressions So I've spent about an hour with the game, and I have a couple of things to say. First of all, it's true, the game has bugs and glitches. I was expecting it though, and while the textures or shadows seem to flicker, characters clip through the floor or lose their walking animation, I still am ENJOYING the game. But I wouldn't mind if the bugs are fixed. The game's models are awesome. They have really good detail. But I'm wondering if the characters (especially the female) are missing hairstyles? It seems like they're all bald or with short hair on my device. Unless it is this way, in that case it's fine. Also there's a bit of a problem with the spot in between the neck and the rest of the head with certain characters, the skin tones don't match up. But even though it sounds like I'm griping, I'm not ungrateful. I know this was money well spent, since the game can get better. Even in it's current state, I'm having a blast.
Controls are not good at all especially while shooting. The camera movement controls are stupid. On the right side there are so many icons I can't move and shoot without my thumb hitting the jump button. I only just began but lack ofammunition is a pain. I have more bad guys to kill than I have ammo. But most of these things can be fixed and the game made much more enjoyable. At the moment not happy about the lack of ammo & controls. Needs much more work. I agree with others who say it was released too soon. Needs much more work to be really worth paying for.
This is the only post in this thread that i disagree 100% with. Oh wait, it's him i need not say that.
This. There is an extreme difference between those that piss and moan about games being $2+ and those that want to know if THIS game is worth $X. That's how capitalism works - not that game A costs less than coffee or costs more on PC - that game A is at least $X of fun.
Hey josh, is there really no armor in a game like this? And is there actually a big variety of weapons bc I haven't found 2 different looking guns that's are the same type... Isn't this an rpg?
I've only seen 2 weapon options in each class so far (except the knife which i havent seen any other knife in the game yet). And yeah, i dont think there are armors. Im pretty far into the game and have explored as much as i can but never found any armor of sorts. The game pretty lackluster compared to Shadowlands. It's true though that the world is huge, albeit sparsely populated.
I don't know exactly how many guns there are, but there are at least 6 guns in the game judging by what the gun shop in the town in Delta Sector sells. (Light Pistol, Bolt Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Laser Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Flame thrower)
Perhaps I dont need it but I tend to like achievements for some reason... Maybe because I like them on console games
By the way, for those having trouble with the controlls, here's my tip: Instead of aiming, strafe to get enemies into the center of your reticule and shoot. (Shoot in short bursts to stay more accurate at a distance)
