Can you leave your matchmaking in another thread? This is supposed to be the RTS list and you're cluttering it. It's easy to find Galcon and clones in the app store, it's hard to find a proper RTS.
Oh its Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, one of THE best RTS on the PC. And I also I am sorry, I got home and I ate something and just passed out and I just woke up... I did not mean to leave you hanging. EDIT: Grots were the builder unit for the Ork race, they look like a goblin that carries a knife and a pea shooter. Their would be 8 (I forgot if its 8 or more) in a squad and when you tell them to build something they would be all like. "Please don't kick me again!" Or something to that effect. All I can say is if relic makes DoW for the iDevice (might have to be a 4th gen exclusive) my life then would be complete.
And that is another good point! Galcon clones seem to be more popular so its easy as looking at the top strategy games it seems. Also if any new RTS games comes out post it here also so I can promptly add it to the "list".
I asked this in the main recommendation thread, but I figure it belongs more here. I'm looking for an RTS similar to the Age of Empires series. Something with a slower pace and less of a focus on combat with a more balanced gameplay with actually building up an empire, castle, country, city, whatever. Basically, I want a real-time Civilization. I've tried the Settlers, but it didn't grab me, and it doesn't have a skirmish freemode. Another game along these lines is Westward, but again, just having linear campaigns is boring to me.
Hmm you know what? I think maybe I should put like a "Incoming RTS" list up to help attract attention to RTS games in the works. Anyone know of any RTS Games in the works? I wonder how useful this thread has to be to get stickied? (Hehe daydreaming) Oh btw I posted up some strategy threads in the op. Its most likely not complete as I have to sift through like 80+ pages to find them all.
