I always knew the Czech would qualify but never that the Russian wouldn't . This upset cost me quite a bit of money actually
I think the teams in the semifinals will be France, Germany, Spain, and Portugal and Germany and Spain will advance. England is a great squad but they haven't been playing too well as a team in the last few games.
I think England would do ok if they left out Rooney permanently I really think he's a jinx on the team. Now I've said that he will probably score a hat trick or something but I really don't believe he commits at all to internationals and constantly just gives away the ball.

England's squad is decent, with some good players, not great. Not playing too well as a team is standard England. That said, in the first game against France, they played with organisation and discipline. Not pretty, but necessary. I agree, aside from being a general tosser, he was total crap at WC 2010. i think that the game between italy and german was the best game of the tournament and even though i don't like balotelli's character he's made excellent service for his country. and in the final.. spain is going to win in my opinion.
Congratz Spain! Germany didn't win, but Spain was my second favorite. Talk about a massacre btw! After the second injury the game was clear and Spain had 2 way too easy goals.

Congrats to Spain! .....again A master class in how to shut down the oppositions best players. Certainly wouldn't bet against them for the next WC. Slightly depressing as an England fan tho... Held on against France, got lucky vs Sweden, struggled vs Ukraine, totally outplayed vs Italy.
