The game has a triple speed option so although you will probably want to slow the game down at times, this means I can do most levels in 10-20 minutes of real play time. Note that this is partly because I've played it a lot so usually know how to win. Some levels will take a few replays as you learn the right tactics. Some people find certain levels quite tricky, but it's all about what tactics you use There are also 8 arena levels - one off levels basically, and the option to play all the levels again in Dark Matter Mode. This is a little more difficult and you always have to take over every asteroid, so it takes rather longer. Funny that it's out in NZ first - I'm actually flying there in a few hours! Well, via a few days in Hong Kong! Yes, I'm actually flying on our release day, doh! If any NZ people want to tell me places to visit on my post Eufloria dev tour...! I hope plenty of you enjoy Eufloria and it finds a few good homes. EDIT: This is highly evolved since the original PC version. It isn't the fastest game you'll play (try Galcon for a similar game but much, much faster) but it is immensely playable on the iPad. As I posted elsewhere, even my non-game playing dad is addicted to it which surprised me. Levels - Some levels have more randomisation than others, and you do need to work out the right tactics on many levels. It's one of those games where the more you play it, the more you realise there is. There is a Relaxed Mode which is both easier and slower than normal play - more chilled out I guess. We have further plans in this regard too. Heathrow beckons! New Zealand, here I come! Midgetcorrupter Member Jun 2, 2009 6 0 0 #15 Midgetcorrupter, Feb 8, 2012 Buy as soon as it appears in the UK. Loved this since the original Dyson on the PC. RudolfKremers Member Feb 5, 2012 17 0 0 http://Www.omni-labs.com #16 RudolfKremers, Feb 8, 2012 Thanks for the kind words guys! Tuna already mentioned a lot of the stuff we put in the game, it really is a very different beast from the very first pc release. Old pc reviews are not that relevant anymore. You can play the game pretty hecticly if you want, as we tweaked the pacing and now allow you to play up to 3x time the normal game speed, as Alex said, but you can still take it easy on a lot of the levels if you prefer. The game allows for both. The arena levels, in case it wasn't clear, are designed to be played over and over again. They are replayable skirmish scenarios or settings, and are very procedural so they play different on each try, which is great for replayability. The Story mode does that to a degree as well, but is of course a bit more directed, and a lot of those levels need to be fiigured out through specific strategic challenges. They can at times be a bit like a puzzle. You can replay them later though via Dark Matter Mode. Anyhoo, we are all reading this forum ("all" being our tiny crew of 5 to 6 people) so if you have any questions or feedback let us know! Hi Rudolf, I thought I read something about a possible iPhone version of Eufloria? Is that going to happen? PeterM11 Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2008 916 1 0 East Coast, USA #20 PeterM11, Feb 8, 2012 The look of the gameplay does remind me quite a bit of Galcon which is in no way a bad thing to say. Definitely thinking about picking this up later. Is there going to be an iPhone version as well? I could easily understand how this is probably better suited for the iPad's larger screen but I thought it would be worth it to ask. Are the levels somewhat randomized or are they almost puzzle like where they're setup with a single optimal strategy/solution in mind?
