Thanks Coledaddy Actress does the voice, Christie Henry. Fun, playful and adds a lot to the story. Lots of fun physics / interactions (realistic leaves falling, feathers, bee swarms, etc) with keeping a solid frame rate up. App runs smooth on my gray haired 3G. Hope you folks will like it. This application provides a good visit down "memory lane" for those of us who grew up listening to the story when we were young...once...long ago ;^) This would also hold the attention of almost any child. While I would rather not go into lengthy research into the original source material, I found some details to be nuanced enough as to embellish my original recollection of the story. For such a low price point, the app is something to be marveled at as it possesses some extremely high production value and displays extraordinarily, slick presentation. One can tell that the creation of this app was a labor of love, with the devs' attention to detail. The voice-over actress is spot-on, carrying enough ebbs and flows, artfully portraying the drama of this classic through her reading. Users can close their eyes and be brought into this storybook world and still be entranced by her engaging voice-acting. But, the added text, classic line-work wrapped in smooth animation, more than enhance the overall storytelling experience, packaging the entire timeless classic into an app which perfectly captures our wonderment of yesterday into the modern techno-geek trappings of today.
