Unless something's changed, you don't need the IAP at all.
    But popular demand? o.o

Agreed. I got this after January and definately did not need IAP. It can get tough, but you don't need to get 'em unless you really want to make it easier.

    Funny, my thoughts exactly...

The IAP itself seems fairly innocuous, but "popular demand?"

    Yeeaah.:D

Sigh I remember paying 5.99 on release day. Ah well hope to see lots of people download this so this shoots up the charts and gets the recognition it deserves!

I'm still on the fence about this
Guess i will wait for this game to drop to -1USD, meaning that i get 1usd to my accout for downloading it.....

  14. If your on the fence, just give it a download and see if you like it or not

As for IAP, it was never there in a previous version but i did see requests for quick credits IAP which is what the devs added.

Im currently at the 4th mission of the Ultra difficulty and i've never spent more than the $2.99 I used to purchase the game. And even at that price, I thought it was cheap given the game's quality.

Easy and normal are still pretty easy once you have the game's gist down to the dot, and in hard is where you will have to grind because that is where the game is still easily doable with higher level equips and they give much credits, especially on the last 3 missions. Ultra is a bit difficult which will require a bit of credit and level grinding from Hard. A lot of players are even stuck.

The game's a Fast-Paced Cover-Shooter Action game with some light RPG properties. And a good one at that. Maybe even the best at being what it is, because, to be honest, there's no game quite like it.

EDIT: There's one game that came out after the success of Epoch and copied some elements from the game. Glu's Frontline Commando. But that one isnt even close to Epoch in game balance, visuals and action-sequence pacing. Oh and FC is IAP hell too. Glu, duh.
