If there's ever a sequel, please, please, please don't change the controls. I really love how this game plays. Personally, I'm enjoying this more than Infinity Blade, and I spent a ton of hours going through countless bloodlines.
Im having a shot at this because it was like $7 and so many bought it and gave good reviews. Anyways its 99c why wouldnt u get it.
So long as I reset my device... the game runs VERY smooth - no crashing, no framerate issues. IMO, better than Dungeon Crawlers, Dark Meadow, IB II... pretty much every other Unreal powered game I've got... cept for Gyro13... =oP
I can vouch for this since I've also played Dark Meadow, IB1 and some of IB2, Darkness Rush, Epoch and Desert Zombie... All running on Unreal Engine... and I also have to restart the device b4 playing, otherwise i get crashes b4 starting the game up.
Not sure how comparable the 3GS is to the iPod 4, but this has been pretty much my experience with the game on my phone. Runs better than IB or Darkness Rush for sure. The initial load is what takes a while, but it's worth it. Definitely optimized well. Of course, it's not pushing my phone as hard as as IB. It's a great looking game, but IB definitely has a lot more going on in terms of shading, textures, lighting, and all the other bells and whistles.
I bought it during the last sale - and finished the first 4-5 levels, and haven't touched it since. Does it get any better... or are you just playing the same levels over and over again - slowly buying better weapons?
It gets better to me. After finishing easy, I wasn't that impressed, but somewhere during normal, when the enemies finally to really gang up on you and you dodge and move at he exact last moments, the game really clicks. Don't worry if some of the weapons "seem" like they require a lot of grinding. On harder difficulties you earn a lot more gold. Well, if you want all the items, then grinding is needed. Just focus on one or two good armor and weapon first.
Oh crap. You're right... I've had this for a while now (before it had IAP) and haven't checked it out after they updated it. Guess IAPs came with the Ultra update. Disappointing. :/ Oh, and haha...yes, yes I am.
