I think it's just less effective than the first one listed, yeah. Just beat the last level-- man, that was fun.
This is a great point. I really like the homing weapons as well because of the fast reload. Lately though, i feel like Burners are the best for me coz of how i play. I still need to play the other weapon types more to get a feel of their playstyle, especially the new chaining weapon, coz they might be so much better in E2 than in E1 coz of how much enemies a re on-screen everytime now. Snipers are really difficult in the later levels. I cant OHKO enemy snipers with them (which makes them too slow coz you need to have at least half the snipe meter to deal decent damage, and you cant max it without taking enemy fire), and zombie hordes are generally a pain coz of the slow shot intervals and the bad visibility while being on zoom 90% of the time.
I can only imagine hahaha. I'm working through three-starring the earlier levels now, but even using Dragon Scale armor it's clear I need to both A) get better at the game to tackle Iron Man Mode, B ) buy more top-tier armor for specific resistances, and C) get better boosters. The level one augments ain't gonna cut it here. I managed to three star level one, and I've gotten close on two, but that very last wave always gets me. Like I said, time to go shopping.
^I havent actually completed Iron Man mode in the last levels, but i did try doing the last mission and it steamrolled me completely. LOL.
Just some random unrelated thoughts about the game: Snipers are pretty much useless. They might be feasible with the best barrier available, but without it they are trash. Great idea, but with this game's focus on avoidance, putting in a stationary weapon was just not a good move. Might be able to fix it by drastically shortening the time it takes to charge a shot, or by getting rid of the zoom altogether and using a laser sight that will take a second or so to lock on to an enemy, but allow you to move around while this is happening. As for handling enemy snipers, I'm not sure if the can snipe through barriers, but I know for a fact that the slow-time booster is great for dealing with them. I can see barriers helping with this as well. Also the last boss is really cool. (STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T BEATEN THE GAME, JUST GO TO NEXT PARAGRAPH) I liked how it used a lot of your weapons against you, though stun grenades just feel cheap. For beating any level, I would definitely look into using the armors that give you a recharge bonus. 30% will shorten your cooldown significantly, so if I'm using a slow-time booster, assuming cooldown starts right when you start using it and not when it wears off, you will be able to spend half your game time with time slowed. The only other armors that would help in beating the levels are speed and healing. I'm not sure how healing works, but that could be great to have in a long battle. Otherwise, speed is a lot of fun to use, and it helps you get back to shooting faster. I haven't really unlocked a lot of grenades and high level boosters yet, or many of the guns for that matter, so I'll be doing a lot of testing of the higher tier items as soon as I can unlock them.
Enfeebler grenade Thought the price bug on the Enfeebler may have been fixed with the update - but it's still 2,300,000 cr... That's a lot of grinding.
The update we just released was submitted before I knew about the Enfeebler bug. The fix for that will be in the next update.
What do you guys have planned for updates? A 4th mode? Endless arenas again? (A train arena would be so awesome) And just out of curiosity- Which had more sales on its release day? Epoch or Epoch 2?
Well I guess that answers my question about sales. It also ignites pure rage in my heart. Ahhh boy how perfectly dandy
can you give a bigger "F U" to the people who support your game from launch? I mean, if you're having a special 50% off launch sale, wouldn't you do that THE DAY OF THE LAUNCH? I literally missed the sale by 4-5 hours, haven't even run the app yet. It's 3 dollars, but it's the principle here. You guys have a sale on a Sunday night, 4 days after your worldwide release? Wow. If I could refund this game on principle, I would. GOTW or GOTY, it matters not. This is a pretty low move.
I mean, in a way I can't blame them. They dumped a huge amount of time and resources into this but they got horribly smashed by Oceanhorn and only reached the top 50 on like Friday, even though they got editors choice here in the US. It's a shame really. If they had released the 7th this woulda been a different story. Hey, I mean I'll still buy Epoch 3 on release day haha
Predictable price drop. Just take a look at the Epoch 1, price drop within 3 days. I'm not complaining about it though, enjoyed the first one immensely. Didn't mind paying $6 for Epoch 2.
I don't wanna be that guy, but I'll buy it out. Never interested me at 6 bucks. Still doesn't much at 3 but enough to try it. I will say it's pretty low to do this right after release. Are there virtual controls or just touch?
