Why? Just set it up with your existing device's backup as the starting profile, and make sure it's an encrypted backup so everything including passwords transfer over. I'm on the third physical iOS device that's an unbroken chain. The iPad mini 2 I'm waiting on them to ship will be a clone of my 5G touch. Other than some freemium games that don't follow convention, everything always transfers just fine.
re: easy credits thanks for the tip (Alphatekk Production level) EP - are there any other easy scores you've noticed? I'm not quite cool under fire enough to crack those 24,000...
It's around 12000 Cr per run without the Cr doubler. And it should be the Time Attack mission that gives that much Cr. 12000 is without destroying any destructibles coz you need to do it as fast as possible with a level 2 weapon.
Also, I've found that if you run out of time and die while fighting OGRE, if you restart from the OGRE checkpoint, the clock resets to 2:30:00, giving you plenty of time to finish the job. By the time I reach OGRE, even using Artemis, I usually only have 3 seconds left on the clock, or thereabouts, so the extra time was a nice surprise.
Re: @Jazzpha - really?? I was sure I tried the restart at that point and only got back to where I was before I died (seconds left on the clock). Will try again! Ta for the info.
Update: I had it happen to me for two runs in a row, and then (right after I posted) I tried it again and I got stuck with 22 seconds on the clock every time I reloaded. Really odd. Might just be a random glitch I got hit with twice, or something. Bummer it's not consistent.
Pro tip- use the alphatekk grind to get enough credits for the third tier homing weapon, then use the time trial on the second to last mission to grind. I just got 50k+ credits with the doubler, so it's easily twice as fast as the other mission. Also not too difficult.
Re: timer Yeah, damn. Hasn't worked for me. Managed to get through for the first time though. One thing that works against you is you lose your target lock on the Ogre when it rears up - by the time you've noticed you need to re-lock you've lost valuable time... I wouldn't mind if this was made a tiny bit easier.
Story is still short even though it makes a lot more sense than the first and is a lot longer, and the ending was quite a revelation, but i was looking for more. For what the ending was, it sure is open to a possible EPOCH.3. I still have time trial and iron man mode stars to complete so i have to say this game is well worth the price in terms of content and gameplay. I really like what they did with the final boss fight. Spoiler instead of the usual options for boss fights like Square Enix's multi-form bosses, or the usual big bad meanies, EPOCH.2 pits you with someone only as big as EPOCH, but he fight together with other bosses all throughout the game it was pretty intense. Definitely one of the best games on the appstore. And the controls are among the best, where it doesnt have virtual buttons or anything. This is an action cover shooter really made for touchscreens. Uppercut did a great job on the first game, and definitely did a lot of great things to exand it in the second.
Fully agree, plays smooth and marvelous I am only at mission 6, but so far I cannot complain about the cash influx. I bought the coindoubler right away though, to send some more money Uppercut's way. What I do is: replay the stage I just finished on normal, until I no longer get new Intercepts. Do I need a new weapon or anything for the next stage, so far I could afford it just fine. And if I don't need to upgrade, more money in the bank for later. But looking at the later prices, I will keep the cash-grinding tips from you folks here in mind.
Are there any destructibles in level 1? Like the bosses so far. Looking forward to shorter fits with them though, with more powerful weapons. The hanging from the higher level on level 3 is a new twist.
Wow this game runs pretty hot on my iphone 5s compared to other graphic intensive games like IB3. Any option to lower graphics?
I havent seen any destructibles on the train/tram levels. Yeah the boss fights are my favorite part of the game... The bosses and the enemy snipers
How do you deal with the snipers, EP? I came up with a strategy that almost worked on the level after the one where they get introduced, but I'm just wondering if my method is close to yours or not. I take cover, wait for them to lock their rifles on the other side of the screen, then pop up quickly, get a few shots off and duck immediately back into cover before the sniper lights me up.
Faster way is, get to one side, shoot a couple quick shots, and duck like you already do, but then quickly roll to the opposite side while still in cover, then fire again, rinse, repeat. This will help greatly in Time Trials.
Nice, thanks! So basically I need to keep doing what I'm doing, but just get better at avoiding having the exploding robots give me a face full of pain if I pick the wrong cover at the wrong time. Practice practice. Also, I'm using the third electric homing weapon-- is it a must to use the strongest weapon listed for the level (in this case, acid) in order to dispatch the snipers quickly before being overwhelmed? They certainly have a lot of HP.
For time trials I have just used the third tier homing weapon on every map because of its fast reload. Iron challenge missions, I would use the suggested weapon. Also what's the deal with the second, smaller icon in the best defense/best weapon box? Like is that weapon less effective? Or does it get a smaller bonus to power?
