LOL no. Just that i dont have any vice. I dont smoke, i dont drink. I dont even go out on weekends, nor do i like big crowds and parties. The only thing my personal money goes to is my games. And iOS is still too damn cheap compared to what i was spending my savings on during the PSX, PS2, PSP days.
I am so angry right now!! I was looking at the achievements and one of the last one spoils what happens in one of the levels )':
The snipers might be my new favorite enemies, because they're the first enemy that actually forces you to adapt a strategy to defeat them. All the other mini boss types(the blue one with the homing mines and the yellow one with the drones) just introduce new attacks that are dealt with in the same way, of all of them Id say the melee bot is the only other one that might cause you to change your strategy. I haven't finished the campaign, currently being chewed up by the combination of laser enemies that attack me through cover, and snipers that destroy me whenever I poke my head up. I think the game might be more fun if the aiming speed of the standard enemies was slowed a bit. They are able to track epoch extremely well, and it's pretty much impossible to avoid fire when you're in an area with only two cover points. It just feels cheap to be taking damage from them all the time, even if it doesn't do much damage.
Advice for a novice Hi, I'm playing Epoch 2 on a new iPad Air and it's fantastic. I seem to be pretty bad at it, though, and can't get past the 2nd stage. Wondering two things: 1) what do the icons next to the guns represent? As in, does the red icon represent a burner weapon, etc? 2) which guns - or which gear in general - should I be aiming at getting? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I'm really enjoying this one. I'm only playing the first star on every level, and I think I'm on the 6th or 7th stage. This game gets pretty intense and I've died 3 times already on the last level I played. It's rare to see a iOS game challenge me but this seems to be doing it. The only thing I can see so far is that the amount of gold I'm getting seems to be on the very low end. I know I have the rest of the levels and then 2 more stars for each, but if the gold doesnot go up then I don't know how I will be able to unlock all the weapons. I feel by the end of the game there should be no reason I can't own all the weapons. Maybe I could but the way it's going it's not going to happen. Don't get me wrong this game is truly anazing. The graphics are top notch and my iphone 5 is running it like a champ. I'm probably going to drop another $5-10 to support the devs, but it bothers me that devs are going this route with adding IAP's. Charge me $14.99 up front if you want, but allow me to get everything without spending more money or grinding for months. The top item is around 100,000 and I don't think it's even possible to obtain that in one playthrough, forget about all the other items. Again this is only after playing about 7 levels so if I'm wrong somebody correct. I highly recommended this to anybody that likes a good action game. This is by far one of my favorite iOS game ever and my hats off to the devs. You don't see this quality to often and you can see the love that went into making it. I can't wait for epoch 3
Here's what i found to be the easiest, most consistent way to earn the most credits. Mission 10: Alphetekk Production - Time Attack Mode. Enemies here are very TAME. The only things you need to watch out for are the gunners, but they are taken out easily with a few shots+either a grenade or a rocket fire. The vortex shooters are pathetic. As long as you keep an eye on them, they will never get a chance to deal any significant damage. First time i attempted this, i was at level 11, wielding the Artemis (Lv2 Homing, price in shop is 10,000Cr), and the default items for everything. Obviously you must ignore the destructibles in time attack to get the fastest time. Easiest way to do it, is to use your skills (rockets, grenades and slows) as soon as they are available to max out your damage capabilities over a time limit. One common combo is to throw a grenade at a target, cast slow, choose a different target, and fire your missiles. The beauty of the Artemis is that the reload time is pretty fast without using quick-reload, which enables you to consistently keep firing without ducking for cover. The final boss here is OGRE from EPOCH1, but he is tamer this time around. Ignore the healer drone as they dont do anything significant. You can still burst down each of OGRE's parts easily without having to spend time dealing with his drone. My first completion had only 1 second left on the timer. The second time i did it, i lessened the number of dodges i had to do (especially when you cast slow) and i purposefully trade damage a little bit to shave some time off a bit, and i ended up with 8 seconds left on the clock. This mission gives over 24000Cr with the doubler, or 12k without one which is pretty big, considering a few of the best weapons will only take less than 10 runs to grind for. Once you have a stronger weapon than the Artemis, it's time to farm for that coveted Dragon Scale Plating which gives a 30% bonus on Cr gain. From there, things will definitely turn out smoother, and buying EVERYTHING off the shop isnt so hard at all. Oh, and as an early game tip, sell everything you dont need to get the stuff that you need faster. And Uppercut already confirmed with me that the price on the Enfeebler grenade is one zero too many
Forgot to add, that in theory, Fire Rate and Helper Drones should help in completing this mission faster, to guarantee you complete the time trial. Slows do not affect the mission timer at all. But it helps you deal your full combo safely.
Dont think so. I think uppercut said something about the cloud save not working as they intended but they are finding ways to implement. It's a little sad coz im getting an ipad mini retina this december and that means i'd have to start again from scratch.
Not necessarily. Can't you restore from a backup when you get your new device? Or use iPhone Explorer type thing and manually move the game files. Should work.
