I hadn't played the first Epoch for a while, and not on my ipad ever either, so I redownloaded it and gave it a quick spin, just to refamiliarize myself for the sequel.

And oh man, playing this game on a bigger screen made an enormous difference. Can't wait to play the sequel; this is the highest priority purchase for me this week, easily.

Tried out the sniper weapon and instantly fell in love with it. Tricky how it needs to be mastered though, because it is quite different from all other weapon types i've known since part 1.

There's the old Impact, Grenade Launcher, Laser and Corrosive. The old Chaining Bolts have been changed to Homing, and there's a new Chaining weapon. Then there's the Sniper, and then the Burner.

Sniper: When you have a target, and you are out of cover, instead of the usual weapons' behavior to shoot automatically, with Sniper weapons it zooms in automatically, and has an auto-filling meter during the zoom-in. Tapping the target while zoomed in fires the weapon, and the damage dealt is proportional to how much of the meter was filled. Kinda like aiming for a critical hit.

Burner: When firing, it leaves a burning effect on the ground. Havent really tested this class yet though.

  14. Yeah, the graphics on this are just amazing, like 3d motion backgrounds, cool looking bosses, and the coolest part is

The stop animation scenes, kind of like in Asphalt 8, they are awesome. Total Matrix like feel. Really cool!

Will my quickly soon to be obsolete iPad 2 be able to handle this without chugging? The graphics look impressive

Yep, iPad 2 is supported. Just don't expect all the graphical bells and whistles. ;)

The Sniper Rifle definitely adds a new way to play the game. It's a very dangerous weapon to use given the vulnerable position you're in when zoomed :)

Yup... High-risk-high-reward as it deals a lot of damage at max. Really like the sniper weapons. Hopefully it keeps its advantages even at endgame.
