Gun now more obviously better than the base weapon - Improved the Sniper Rifle: increased clip size for tier 2, decreased buildup time for tier 3 - Improved Corrosive Hose: increased burn time for tier 3 - Light nerfing of the Leech booster as it was overpowered, especially at Tier 3 New Tech Features - 64 Bit Support for iPhone 5s/iPad Air/iPad Mini Retina - Animated User Interfaces! Just an extra bit of polish that we didn't get in in time for the initial release. Enjoy! And please keep giving us feedback, we're taking it on board Ed
Update is just what I needed to start over! I was kind of dreading it since I lost my progress after exchanging my last iPad because of pixel issues.
As Ryan just reminded me, "light nerfing" is something of an understatement Gave it a "good, hard nerfing" might be a more apt description. Sorry, EP!
It's a darn shame this game won't get a second chance with review sites, as basically every complaint has been fixed in under a month. Oh well, at least deep down in my heart I know this is a 5 star game.
Such is life We'll continue to keep improving and updating, and telling every press outlet we know of about the changes we make.
So, what exactly is the advantage of using the dual laser weapon on multiple opponents? Seems counterproductive to slowly whittle down the health of two enemies at once, when I can just focus on one and take less fire when taking down the second.
Yes,One enemy down=not shoot,Two enemy with healt that slowly goes down=shoot The same, better focused on One enemy at time!
No worries man, i knew it was too powerful anyways and felt like it had to be nerfed. Im still an Overdriver, so to speak
The basic idea is that it allows you to make better use of your ammo. Most weapons in EPOCH.2 tend to over damage an enemy. With the split beam you can move half the weapons damage to another enemy once the primary target is close to death. Similar to the chain lightning weapon where it's better to switch targets once the primary target is close to death and let the chain damage kill him. But with the split laser the secondary target doesn't need to be within "chaining" distance. I've found it works particularly well against groups of enemies with low health, like the flying guys and the sploders and zombies. Also, the boss that spawns sploders.
It works well against them, but that alone isn't worth using it, and I actually think the homing weapon is better for that purpose because extra shots can home in on other targets. Idk, I still need to play more with it, and it is pretty cool, but it doesn't feel powerful enough to make me use it over the homing weapon, or even the existing laser weapon.
You may be right, but when enemies are weak to Laser type weapons, the dual targetters may come out more efficient.
EP - How did you make so much money you could buy every weapon and gadget in the game? I'm about half-way through the campaign (first play through) and I've only been able to affor two or three upgrades, even with the coin doubler. And you did it before the update with more generous payouts! Just want to be sure I'm not missing something basic.
