Pretty ridiculous that neither of them do when lots of games have iCloud support, and work perfectly fine.
Sorry Amenbrother, we never had it in EPOCH 1. We did do a lot of work on it for EPOCH 2, but it's not a simple system to get right. In the end, we weighed up the desire of putting it in vs the danger of unstable/lost save games and went the safer route. We might - MIGHT - go back and have another look at it for a future update, but it's low priority compared to adding gameplay features and other improvements.
Maybe include an iCloud option in the settings, turned off by default so only people who reeeally want it can "risk" it.
Me too,2 profiles on iPhone 5,1 on iPhone 4,i was hoping that with EPOCH.2 comes with ICLOUD,but The answer from The devs was nope..This game really need ICLOUD..
Would manual iCloud sync (up/download of savegames) work from ingame? I am pretty sure I saw another developer mention this, but cannot remember which game it was.
It doesnt (on EPOCH.1). I have tried using ifunbox. Problem was that the files may need some editing to transfer correctly. I can open my game fine on a migrated savefile, but I cant change equips at all.
Oops, I worded that badly. Let's rephrase: Can a manually activated iCloudsave be added to the game? Does that work? Can you control it as developer? Or is iCloud always automatic syncing, with no control possible?
Some games have an iCloud save slot you manually have to save to ... Galaxy on Fire 2 and XCOM are some examples.
Did anyone managed to completed the game at 3 stars? Already having trouble with the early map at 3 stars level even with tier 3 armor n weapon. This is madness haha
stuck on 3 maps for the final third star, any suggestion? like what armor and weapon used in order to pass it. thanks
^My basic strategy in EPOCH. since part 1 is pretty much the same. Kill as many enemies as they spawn to reduce the number of onscreen threats at each point, and reduce the time that you may be able to commit an error. That said, slow is essential to my strategy as it slows down the spawn rate, and give you time to burst down key enemies. Highly recommended against snipers too. Frag Grenade. It's the only grenade that deals big damage on impact, so that is the only choice i prefer to take down enemies fast. For plating, get the 30% Recharge. Nothing beats that armor when it comes to being effective playing. Your grenade will be available every 6.5 seconds, Fat Boy (the only Missiles worth taking once you have access to it) is available every 35 seconds, and the slow is active for 5 seconds, every 5 second interval. For weapons, get either the Burner (The Gusher) or the Homing (Lelantos). They are the most accurate weapons in the game, and you need each projectile to hit as much as possible in the shortest possible times. These 2 are the best at doing just that. Burner feels like it is doing less damage over time, but it has the advantage of being an always-hits weapon, even when the enemies are in cover. So... Slow, burst down one enemy with Grenade+missiles+a few shots, perform perfect reloads, rinse, repeat. Other than the Missiles, everything should be available almost always. I'll leave the evading to you, which should happen in between these slow sequences. Take note this isnt the only viable strategy, but in my opinion, one of the best and most straight forward. I have posted a few posts back how to make ALL bosses look like wimps, but it doesnt make the sniper fights easy. I have also played around with Barriers, Heals, and one of my favorites, the Leech. Havent played much with Decoys or Drones yet, so that remains to be discovered (for me at least). Have fun completing the Iron Man modes! The last 2 stages are exceptionally satisfying when you complete them
Manual upload/download is definitely something we've discussed as a solution, and yes there are other games that do this.
A quick heads up that in the next update, the Leech is undergoing some rebalancing to fix it's overpoweredness It's not getting totally nerfed, just being brought more into line with the other Boosters. Overall, though, the game will have a gentler difficulty ramp from start to finish.
