If you have the tier 3 electric homing weapon (which is obtainable after a few runs of the alphatekk factory in the timed run mode), then the time attack mode on the second to last level should be a piece of cake-- I usually finish it with a minute or more left on the clock. That mission gives 77k (roughly, from memory, albeit using the Dragon Scale armor) if you have the doubler. Even without the doubler, you're still looking at, what, around 38k? A few of those runs and you should be able to get some top gear, even without the dragon scale boosting your income.
^Yup. Basically, the only thing you really need to aim for is getting a tier 3 weapon. It should help you conquer the time trials which give a tons of cr without being too difficult like Iron Man mode could get.
D: Gosh I need to stop using the red lasers in E1. I always considered the grenade launchers bad for like no reason.
yeah, theyre pretty overrated. personally I've always liked electric weapons, both the chaining and the homing ones are great for hitting guys behind cover, plus they have great burst damage. Corrosive weapons are good for this also, you can do a lot of damage by spreading your acid around, and the burn area weapons ignore cover completely. Basically any weapon that changes your playstyle is cool to me, and the lasers don't really do that. they're pretty much the same as the chain gun, but more expensive.
Yeah I still haven't tried all the weapon types in E2, so far the homing and grenade launcher are my favorite. Still got the laser, chaining, and burner to go. I'm sure the laser is basically the same as E1 though haha
Chaining is not the best at bursting down single targets like single hit-zone bosses, but it deals with mobs a lot faster, and the weapon class has only become a lot stronger in E2 because of the more common and larger mob count.
Finally got the game and have been pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Granted, I'm not far in, but it feels more like a story driven game than just a series of cover shooting sequences. Yes, I know the original had a story with all the text, logs, etc., but this feels more complete. I liked Epoch but honestly still haven't finished it. I'll see how I feel about the grind issue as I get further in, but loving what I've played so far. Particularly the longer sequences with actual checkpoints and mini-bosses. More destruction is fun and the opening battles above a moving train were a nice touch.
Fair enough. Tbh I haven't used the chaining electric weapon in Epoch 2 yet, but it looks really cool. Also does anyone know what buffs the burn area/sniper/homing weapons get when you buy the higher tier versions? like how one of the grenade launchers has faster reload, or the chainsaw has faster turning speed, etc.
I thought there were any, but from what i observed, they just deal more damage. Maybe im missing something, but that's all i can see in them so far.
Has Anyone else play this on both an iPad air and an iPhone 5s and notice the graphics on the iPad as much inferior? Everything looks muted andWashed out, and overall just in appealing as compared to the phone ?
The download size is basically a compressed file. Kinda like an installer for a computer. The file size is usually smaller to allow a faster download. Then after download, the file is uncompressed and installed, which is the filesize you are seeing in the settings>general>usage.
if that's true that's kind of a bummer. Every other weapon gets a lot more usable as a result of those perks.
is your cover always indestructible? ie) you basically have unlimited time to complete your missions? other than needing to dodge the energy attacks that circumvent your cover
right, obviously, but I mean in just regular campaign though it seems irrelevant as enemies that force you out of cover seem to spawn infinitely
