Please stop bickering over the price We know theres often lots of price drops with iOS, i buy many games, if a price drops a day later i dont care. I just know that extra moneys gone towards the dev.
We should really have another forum for these rants about pricing. Then people can go on to their heart's content about economic theories, and what developers do/have done/should have done/etc... How about leaving this thread to talking about the game, gameplay, etc... ???
To make this a little bit softer, I replaced YOU with SNOOKIE. You really need to keep a tight reign on your finances if you struggle with your being a consumer. When SNOOKIE bought this game it was worth the price SNOOKIE paid for it. It still is worth this price to SNOOKIE because that is exactly how much will be deducted from your bank account this week. As SNOOKIE paid a price you deemed happy with SNOOKIE have lost nothing. SNOOKIE have however paid to support the dev, and I'm sorry if SNOOKIE disagree but they need to earn a living if we want a decent industry.
There is a thread to moan about price drops. People want to come here and hear about the game, whether it plays well etc. Games drop in price all the time, if you buy the game a day before it drops in price its frustrating but it happens (also in lots of other things you buy). We could fill up most threads talking about price drops but people want to know about how the game plays and not the usual 'this dropped by a dollar yesterday, i'm annoyed...' etc It'll work far better and be more useful if you simply contact the dev to let them know you aren't happy.

If you'd like to whine about the price drop, kindly do so in the price drop sub-forum thread for EPOCH 2. This thread is for gameplay discussions. Another moderator has asked you to stop, and yet here you all are still at it. All future posts about the price-drop will be deleted and if this continues, we're looking at some time-outs.
If there's just one thing I hate about Epoch, that's the GUI. I hated it in Epoch 1 and I hate it in Epoch 2. It looks awful compared with the actual graphics IMHO. Anyway, the game seems cool so far. Feels like what IB2 was to IB1. Although it was too easy, the first boss was cool.

No secret... EPOCH.2 is hands down my favorite iOS game ever, taking over EPOCH.1 which was sitting on my top spot before EPOCH.2 existed. So no surprise EPOCH.2 gets my GotW vote.
Been playing since release, and I love it. Some of the levels are hard as hell on insane but it's awesome trying to beat em, although it would be nice if u get some credits when u fail. Glad it went on sake so more people can experience the game, hence we will get more updates. This is definitely a 9/10 game.
Grenade Launcher is the best class in EPOCH.1, so it shouldnt be impractical to use here. They could very well still be the best in E2, but i havent gotten it yet since im pretty much enjoying the new burner class. Reason why it's above anything else in E1 is in Ultra. You only have split second safe openings and with the grenades, firing one shot usually deals more damage than any other weapon class can do in that short period of time.
I know the decision to say whether the game is grindy or not is more of a personal preference, but after a little experiment, i have determined that this isnt a grindy game (again, this is based on my preference). My suggestion is to replay the levels you have completed, for the purpose of gathering the Intercepts. Once there arent intercepts to get anymore, move on to the next mission. Or if you have managed to get a level 2 weapon already (which i managed to do in less than an hour into the game), try out the Time Trials which give out more Credits than the regular mode. Iron Man mode obviously gives out the best amount of Cr, but i dont recommend even trying it out without at least a couple Tier 3 equips. Im about 6 hours into the game, and I have five tier 3 armors, have at least 1 tier 3 rocket, grenade and utility skill, and three tier 3 weapons. I hope you arent expecting to own the best weapon (a tier 3 weapon, that is) in about an hour or two into the game. Although im sure it is possible.
