.99 cents! What a steal. I notice a ton of great games are on sale this week. I guess maybe because GDC is coming up? Whatever the reason, got this and The Room 2. Bring on the .99 cent sales!
Snowjinks is basically E.1's Arena mode, but without the super moves. EPOCH.2 though, is definitely an upgrade to the franchise with more weapon types, more stages, tons more enemy types and bosses, and a lot more overall mechanics. This is a steal for a buck.
I see there is a coin doubler IAP. Is this necessary to fully enjoy the game or more of a "tip" to the dev and/or "cheat"?
That's how it is on several great games, wouldn't be too surprised though if it didn't. Hunters is another game like that, 2nd game is a lot more fun, but the first only came out on Android...I think the developers just simply gave up on Android all together. When I was on Android, I was kind of tired of the waiting game, and a lot of iOS games just didn't make it on Android anyways, I got tired of asking when it's coming out on Android...many times it just didn't. Anyways, been playing Epoch 2 for a couple hours. Enjoying it very much, it's similar, but that isn't a bad thing. First was a great game, I think I'm having a lot more fun with this game than the old one. 99 cents is a steel. I don't think there's too much reason for the IAP, been finding weapons and armor playing the game and for the 2 or so hours I've been playing, seems like I'm earning a steady amount, though I might just get the coin doubler just to speed things up a little. Full time college and work doesn't exactly give me much time to play games nowadays...ah damnit, doing it again...on this site instead of studying
It's a soft-cheat. It doesnt make you overpowered at the end of the game though, as the difficulty is pretty well balanced. With the doubler, you get to buy the high end stuff by the time you reach half of the game. By half I mean half of the entire Normal, Timed and Iron modes. Fastest way to earn credits is to start playing the timed modes as soon as you think the normal mode starts to be a lot more difficult.
Good game, if you haven't purchased it already, you should. I purchased it the day it was launched. Though I misses the no inapp from Epoch 1, but it's not that difficult and you can play without inapp purchases.
Bought. Added to iPhone. Now let's how long it takes before I actually play it. Do you get a bonus for having Epoch 1 installed and beat?
I went ahead and grabbed this for a buck. I have never been a fan of shooters on my iPad, but this game is great.
Now free. Got a promo code for it, but I think it was worth the price if I paid for it. Though I no longer support any games with these kinds of consumable IAPs, the IAP in this game isn't needed a single bit.
