The person who didn't get their faction buff this week and sent a support email, have you got it yet?
Didn't someone say that they got 640 gems as com for lost time or something ... If that was the case I wish I didn't get it more often~
That was the first instance, which was also the first week I believe the issue started occurring. Now it seems to be like ~240 or something like that.
Also meant to say Serven, very well done! I won't have to refer to my ghetto library of screenshotted epics now. Dr. Smudge
I think it's time for Backflip to revisit their treasure chest system. I now have 4 whole pages in my Treasury that have chests that will never be opened. I'm going to illustrate the problem with Lightning chests because I have the most of them. 48% Chance - Basic Lightning Chest - 7,500 coins - 5% chance at Epic 34% Chance - Uncommon Lightning Chest - 125 Gems - 5% chance at Epic 14% Chance - Rare Lightning Chest - 400 Gems - 5% chance at Epic 4% Chance - Epic Lightning Chest - 650 Gems - 25% x 4 chance at Epic It does seem as though the "quality" of the Epic is slightly tiered from Basic -> Uncommon -> Rare and then Epic Chests have a range of Epic "quality". Now there are a couple of problems: 1) 52% of the time you are getting a chest that requires gems to open. 2) Most epics are 2 element epics that are very easy to craft - so why risk getting a 2 element epic. 3) Probability says if you opened 20 of each chest (Basic, Uncommon and Rare) you would likely have an epic. Using the Lightning Chests as an example - that translates to 150,000 Coins ; 2,500 Gems ; 8,000 Gems respectively. 4) Though the non-epic rewards in Uncommon and Rare chests are slightly better than the Basic chests, they are still not nearly enticing enough to make you want to use gems for them. 5) Currently the "best" epics are only available from the Wondrous Chest and Gift Chests from friends. 6) My only current incentive for opening chests is to gain a chest to donate to someone for trades. Now I know people are at different stages of the game, so I know that all of these issues may not be so prevalent to everyone. But I figured I'd try and get a discussion going. I personally think the easiest way to make all of these chests relevant is to decrease the cost of opening Uncommon and Rare chests and to simultaneously increase the % chance for an epic slightly.
Personally, I feel like only Epic Chests should require Gems to Open, and should only be 100-200 max.
Item Tracker Spreadsheet Has anyone created a spreadsheet listing all the known items and their characteristics? This would be very useful!
Whoa, that's a great idea! How come nobody has thought of this yet? Sorry, I can't help being sarcastic some times. If you give even just the last couple of pages in this thread a quick glance-over, you'll find that somebody has even made an interactive website with all that info. Browsing further back, you will find an embedded spreadsheet, and even a post with screenshots of almost every item in the game.
He might've meant also including non-epic items. Anyway, 70 gems away from 2500, so my 5th hero will be tomorrow (The next daily reward for me is 75 gems) EDIT: Got my 5th Hero
Cedric lvl 3 What is best to use against Cedric ? Not strong enough even loaded with Epic, my problem is that most of my guys are equally balanced between Armour, Magic, Attack...I know was a dumb Newb move but i didnt take the time to research when i started. Before i retrain want to make sure its worth the gems. Thanks
Tip for figuring out what can beat something: When you choose a hero, the name of the monster changes. If it's a deep maroon/crimson, you can't win. Anything else and your hero will win. I believe I won against him with a mixture of magic and attack, but I'm not sure.
